SIGNAL SNOWBOARDS 13.14 SEASON
Ten years ago we started this company sitting at a kitchen table. It would still be a full season before our boards hit the shelves, but
our course was set. We’d like to thank all of you who have joined us on our mission.
Here’s to the next decade!

BACK COUNTRY SERIES
There’s quite a few
change-ups in the Signal line this year. First of all, we have categorized our
boards into three series. Then we went and added some new boards into them, like the
FREEDOM MACHINES. We reworked some old favorites and, after careful consideration, even left some alone.
After all of the geometry and shapes were set, we turned to our bases. We have so much fun with our Every Third Thursday bases that we couldn’t resist using the knife
cutter for the whole line. You’re going to see a lot of new die-cuts this season.
All Signal boards are made in our Huntington Beach factory. We hope you’re as excited about this
season as we are and we wish you a very prosperous and fulfilling year.
Now go out there and have some fun!

OG CAMBER & OG FLAT TOP WITH ASSORTED BASEStops are assorted as well as bases
Camber: This measurement is taken when your board is on a flat surface. The space between the surface and the mid point of the bow of your board is the camber. The taller the camber, the harder it presses on your sidecut. The camber also assists you in springing off of one edge and moving to the other. Your board’s camber should be proportionate to its sidecut and your weight.
Rocker : Rocker is the lifting of the contact points off the snow creating easier edge to
edge turns and float in powder. We have all seen Rocker make a strong comeback over the last few years. Originally this technology came from the 80’s to
keep your board floating in powder. But now with all the advancements in riding and board building technology Rocker has taken on a whole new purpose. Signal’s Rockers
are flat through the bindings and then roll up into a 5 degree or 10 degree rise. The versatility and ease make it a choice that is great for beginners as well as the pros.
Lightweight: Signal cores are lightweight. They are milled in our own factory with Poplar wood. Built by alternating the grain structure and combined with high quality resin, these cores are strong and retain their pop.
Flat: Choosing Flat Technology—or no camber—is an excellent choice for park riding. The lack of camber in your board allows you to engage the entire edge. Flat boards also give the rider better leverage for many tricks because you’re never working against the board.
Hand painted: This is unique to the Signal factory. This sticker on a board means that we handpainted part of this board. Whether it’s staining the laminate topsheet or using a brush on the OGs, each board with this sticker has been artistically personalized so that it is one of a kind.
Made In California: Every board that Signal builds is hand made in our southern California factory. We’re very proud of this. Your support increases our strength in promoting US manufacturing, US jobs and quality craftsmanship.
Wavelength Technology:
Signal’s OMNI Wavelength made it’s debut in 2008. This hybrid came from the simple concept of taking our favorite camber board and adding slight rocker to the tip and tail. For those who love camber and are interested in
Rocker, but are not willing to give up camber entirely, Wavelength is the choice! The OMNI Wavelength has camber through the middle of the board
with light 5 degree Rocker through the tip and tail.
ETT: When you see this sticker, it indicates that the board it’s on has been inspired by our monthly web show, Every Third Thursday. We come up with some pretty creative ideas for this show and —while we haven’t been able to mount a paintball gun in every board—we ‘ve incorporated some of the other technologies and graphics into our line.
Special Team Colorways: When you see this sticker on a Signal board, that means that it is a special colorway from the the rest of the series. These are Signal’s versions of team boards. Each team colorway board comes in the size that that particular team member rides on the hill. The geometry is the same as the corresponding size in the series, just the graphic is theirs. If you ride the same size as the team rider, then you get your pick of graphics!
SIGNAL BOARD INFO STICKERS
Every board that Signal builds is hand made in our southern California factory. We’re very proud of this. Your support increases our strength in promoting US manufacturing, US jobs and quality craftsmanship.
Our production is year-round, so our factory is in constant research and development and our mission is to bring you the best in snowboarding and customer service. With our web show, Every Third Thursday, and our custom board builder, Mixed Signals, our customers are offered the unique experience of being part of our factory without ever having worked here. It’s the connection from factory to rider.
To the right are some definitions and descriptions that help the customer appreciate what goes into building our boards. You’ll find a lot of these terms as tech stickers on our boards on the shop floor. They provide quick reference points for you to compare and contrast the technology differences between all Signal boards.
In addition to all of these stickers, we also have QR code stickers that link to tech videos for each board. These are like mini-clinics right on the shop floor—and helpful to both employees as well as customers.
THANK YOU!
