Fr. Carlos Limongi
WORDS FROM FR. CARLOS
After three truly blessed years and as I enter a new chapter of my life; I must say the last few weeks have been an emotional roller coaster for me. However, as often appears in the Scriptures, there is the word BUT. In the midst of these feelings the one thing that has remained constant is the feeling of deep gratitude in my prayer.
As I recall these past three years as Parochial Vicar of Church of the Assumption ministering together with the dedicated joyful staff and parishioners of our parish has been a source of fulfillment and great moments of laughter.
Our Parish community truly grasps the meaning of what it means to be a Church; the local caring community where people know and care for one another and the community that acknowledges the brokenness of the larger world and reaches out in compassion and service.
The children and youth of Assumption fill me with great hope and encouragement for the future as I see them respond in faith and generosity in so many ways.
In spite of the struggle of leaving, I am so very thankful for the relationships I have formed in this community and the many ways the people of this parish have helped me to grow in my relationship with God.
God bless you all.
Fr. Carlos

The Nicene Creed
I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.
I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages.
God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.
I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come.
Amen.
Credo Niceno
crucificado en tiempos de Poncio Pilato;
reino no tendrá fin.

P. Carlos
