2018 SEASON MEDIA GUIDE 2018 HIGHLIGHTS Made his NFL debut at TB (11/25) and registered 2 tackles. GOLDMINE Taylor’s favorite memory in life did not come on the football field, but rather walking across the stage at his college graduation. Tay- lor describes himself as a quiet, yet cerebral man, and was proud to experience the apex of his academic career with his family this past year at Temple. • Taylor and his fellow rookies participated in the annual 49ers Mentorship Academy on September 18, 2018. The Mentorship Academy, partnering with USA Football, is a three-step program designed to provide high school football players with the opportu- nity to develop the skills necessary to succeed and be leaders on and off the field. The rookie class invited the high schoolers to the team facility, where they shared opinions and lessons over a meal and fun competitions. TAYLOR’S GOLDEN NUGGETS Taylor did not play organized football until his senior year in high school. In his lone season in high school, he registered 60 tackles and 14.0 sacks as he helped lead Williamstown (NJ) to a perfect 12-0 record and the 2012 state Class 5 champion- ship. His father, Rufus Taylor, also graduated from Temple Univer- sity and was a walk-on on the men’s basketball team in 1989.
