DESCRIPTION

The LWGMS Annual Fund is the most important source of unrestricted funds to the School’s operation, meaning that it helps us bridge the gap between tuition and the cost of operating the school. Our annual giving program is crucial to the LWGMS experience: each year, parents, teachers, staff, board members, friends, grandparents, and neighbors impact the lives of our students by contributing to the Annual Fund.

STRENGTH IN NUMBERS

I didn’t fully comprehend how great Maggie’s middle school education was until she started high school. When she came home to tell us that her 9th grade biology teacher told her she’d turned in the best lab report she’d ever read, I knew it for sure: Maggie has the foundation and self-confidence she needs to successfully handle advanced high school classes. She advocates for herself, is not afraid to ask questions, and seeks out leadership opportunities. I honestly believe this is all due to LWGMS.

My family gives to the Annual Fund so that more girls have the opportunity to experience the extraordinary community and education that is LWGMS. Please join us and lend your financial support to allow this wonderful school to grow, to admit students from all walks of life, to enhance special programs inside and outside of the classroom, and to empower our outstanding teachers to inspire our girls to grow into young women who are truly strong in mind, body, and voice.

I’m not sure everyone understands that the true cost of an LWGMS education is higher than tuition. This is why I give to the Annual Fund.

Not only did I leave LWGMS more than prepared for high school academics, I had the confidence to stand up for myself, speak my mind, and try new things.

As founding board members we are honored to celebrate 15 years of educational excellence with the Lake Washington Girls Middle School family. We believe that LWGMS continues to empower its students by fostering a learning environment that promotes positive self discovery, social justice, and a love of learning while upholding the founding values, mission, and vision of the school. We feel that every contribution to the school is a dollar well spent, and we will continue to give because we know our support will guarantee the students leave the school intelligent, thoughtful, and creative young women who will become tomorrow's leaders.

My L-Dub teachers seemed to have the perfect balance of humor and wisdom. My teachers in high school know what kind of student I am, but I miss my teachers knowing what kind of person I am.
