Memory card

The memory card can be configured for various operations:

� Program card – To use the memory card as external load memory for the CPU and to provide a larger load memory storage area for use with Data logging and User defined Web pages.

� Transfer card – To copy a program to the internal load memory of one or more CPUs without using the STEP 7 Basic engineering system.

� Firmware update card – To update the firmware of the CPU and all connected S7-1200 hardware.

Power Supply

With the PM 1207 Power Module you can easily provide 24 V DC power to components in the S7-1200 control systems which cannot be supplied by the CPU’s integrated sensor power supply.

The PM 1207 provides a wide input voltage range (8…132/176...264 V AC) for worldwide use and a stabilized 24 V DC output with a rated for 2.5 A.

Data logs

For storing run-time data values in continuous log files

� DataLog instructions are used in the user program to create the data log files.

� The data log files are stored in CPU flash memory and the data is organized in standard CSV (Comma Separated Value) format.

� It is possible to copy the data log files from the CPU memory using the built-in Web server or by removing the memory card and inserting it into a standard SD (Secure Digital) or MMC (MultiMediaCard) card slot on a PC or PG.
