Ohio BWC Prospective Billing Timelines

The Ohio BWC new prospective billing system begins July 2015. Prospective billing is an insurance industry standard practice that will enable the Ohio BWC to collect premiums before extending coverage. Currently, Ohio employers pay for coverage they have already received. When will this happen?

• Jan. 2, 2016, for public employers

PINGS

At our January PINGS meeting, those in attendance heard from Kelly Herzog about the wonderful programs at Miami Valley Career Technology Center. It was great to hear not only about the programs for High School students but about the

New ResidentPackets

I am in need of items for the new resident packets, please call if you want to drop off or arrange for me to pick up. Thanks

DPL EnergyUpdate

Our account manager for the Chamber discounted rate program is Jacob Armbruster, he can be reached at 937-475-7661 or [email protected] The program is going through a few changes and some industries may be able to have a individualized structure to save you even more money. As in the past, this is also a benefit you can offer to your employees on their personal DP&L bill. Jacob said he would be willing to meet with you or do employee meetings if this is something that would be beneficial. Don’t hesitate to call him or call me at the office for more information.

Adult Ed opportunities as well. Kelly discussed the high job placement success of MVCTC graduates in various career paths. To name a few of the programs discussed: Nursing, Dental Asst., Cosmotology, manufacturing, business, FAA certification and LOTS more. It is also interesting that the Chamber logo was designed several years ago by a MVCTC student. We are checking to see of the availability for Kelly to host the PINGS group at the school, if so; we will not only post on the website but send email blasts. Thank you Kelly for a great presentation.

Hertz Discount BenefitDiscounts are for up to 20% off Hertz Business travel rates and are also available for employees. We are working on additional details but if you need to use this benefit soon, call the Chamber office 937-836-2550.
