Gomoti Plains Camp

Okavango Delta, Botswana

Day 1

Upon arrival at Maun Airport you will be greeted by a member

from the andBeyond team who will assist you onto a scheduled

charter flight. Separated from the well-known Moremi Game

Reserve by the Gomoti Channel, this lush concession is

comprised of 26 180 hectares (64 692 acres) of scattered acacia

woodland, occasional wetland and seasonal floodplains.

Discover the thrill of safari during your 2 night stay at Gomoti

Plains in a Tent with ensuite bathroom. Your stay includes all

meals, laundry, lodge activities, return vehicle airstrip

transfers, alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages (excluding

imported & premium drinks).

Day 2

Experience the dawn in the famed Okavango Delta. Watch the

distinctive shapes of the tall palms emerge from the grey haze.

Glide silently between tall avenues of papyrus and river reeds,

sprawled comfortably on the flat wooden wedge of a traditional

dugout canoe, or mokoro. Dig your bare toes into the golden

sand, cooled by the clear Delta waters, fishing rod or ice-cold

drink in hand. Peer into the savage jaws of the tiger fish or

marvel at the dazzling colours of the lilac-breasted roller. End

the day admiring the multi-coloured spectacle of the African

sunset.



Gomoti Plains Camp

Okavango Delta, Botswana

Ideally set in a cool sheltered spot beneath a canopy of mature

acacia trees, Gomoti Plains Camp is situated on the edge of the

Gomoti River system and flood plains in the centre of the

Okavango Delta in Botswana. Gomoti Plains is made up of eight

classic safari tents and two family tents. Each tent is tastefully

furnished with safari-style décor and is equipped with stunning

teak chairs and a wardrobe. All raised on wooden decks, the

tents boast great views of the flood plains beyond, and each

room has a shaded veranda. The two family units comprise two

spacious bedrooms with an adjoining living room in between.

Behind the living area is a shared bathroom with an indoor and

outdoor shower with hot and cold running water, flush loos and

twin basins. Nestled into evergreen riparian woodland, the

main area includes a beautifully outfitted large mess tent full

of colour and style, housing the dining area and lounge, a

perfect spot to relax in between morning and afternoon

activities. By night, the camp is illuminated by solar power

lighting and paraffin lamps, which emit a gentle romantic glow.

Each evening, guests are invited for pre-dinner drinks around

the camp fire to share stories with their fellow travellers and

guides. Typically, dining takes place outside either under the

shade or under the stars. The food served is an excellent

mixture of local cuisine flavoured and good old fashioned home-

style cooking. Game drives take you along the river system and

flood plains, or you can choose to take to the water in a mekoro

canoe. Glide along the tranquil waterways and enjoy the Delta

and its wildlife from a different angle, a wonderful tranquil way

to explore the waterways.

Day 3

Enjoy a short game drive to Gorokwe airstrip where a scheduled

charter flight will be waiting to fly you and fellow guests, to

Khwai airstrip. The Khwai River is a hub for outstanding game

viewing in both the Moremi and Khwai areas.

Spend your 2 night stay at Machaba Camp in a Tent with ensuite

bathroom. Your stay includes all meals, laundry, lodge

activities, return vehicle airstrip transfers, alcoholic and non

alcoholic beverages (excluding imported & premium drinks).

Day 4

Explore the golden grasslands in search of wildlife, keeping an

eye out for a pride of lion picking their way through a shallow

water crossing or a graceful leopard lounging in the boughs of a

riverside tree. Follow a pack of endangered African wild dog on

the hunt. Set out on foot to discover the minute wonders of the

African bush, stopping to examine buffalo tracks and learning

the traditional uses of the Okavango’s many bushes, trees and

grasses. Meander through the clear lagoons and channels in a

motorboat, watching wildlife from a different perspective and

admiring a multitude of colourful bird species. Visit a local

village and experience a traditional way of life that is in tune

with this magical environment.



Machaba Camp

Khwai Community Area, Botswana

Situated in the game rich Khwai region of the spectacular

Okavango Delta, Machaba Camp reflects the classic safari style

of the 1950s. Serene and secluded, pathways to the ten luxury

tents meander between large trees set in the riverine thicket.

Spacious and elegant, the tents boast ensuite bathrooms and

living areas, as well as romantic indoor and outdoor showers.

Sun loungers are situated around a sparkling swimming pool

with riverside views, while a tented main area contains a library

filled with reading material. Guests can explore the

magnificent environment on game drives, walking safaris and

mokoros (traditional dugout canoe) or can choose to

experience some authentic African culture with a visit to the

local community

� The camp is named after the local Setswana word for

the sycamore fig. Ask your ranger to tell you more

about this exceptional tree plant, also known as the

tree of life.

Day 5

Enjoy a short game drive to Khwai airstrip where a scheduled


Selinda airstrip. The Selinda Spillway is an ancient waterway

home to large herds of elephant and buffalo. (Approximately 20

minutes).

Delight in adventure during your 2 night stay at Selinda Camp

in a Tent with ensuite bathroom. Your stay includes all meals,

scheduled safari activities, laundry, return airstrip transfers,

local brand alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and

complimentary use of Swarovski binoculars.

Day 6

Stretch, yawn and listen to the morning chorus of birdcalls

before easing into a new day. Hop into the vehicle like a

seasoned safari veteran and set out in search of the perfect

sighting. Hear nothing but the grass swish-swishing against your

trouser leg as you walk through the tranquil bush. Crouch down

around a fresh animal track as your guide deciphers the clues it

has to offer. If the water levels allow, glide along the river on

a tranquil canoe safari. Back at camp, let the aches and pains

of the day melt away under the expert care of the camp

masseuse. In the evening, warm your toes around a blazing

campfire and join in stories of the day’s adventures.

The superlative Selinda Camp overlooks the spectacular Selinda

Spillway (a seasonal waterway linking the renowned Okavango

Delta and the floodplains of the Linyanti swamps). Here, guests

can unwind in the supremely comfortable tents, which each

boast an ensuite bathroom and luxuriously comfortable four-

poster bed, romantically draped in mosquito netting.

Guests can savour mouth-watering three course meals on the

camp’s open “star deck” or delectable brunches in the cool

Kasane International Airport (Approximately 50 minutes).

Revel in your 2 night stay at Ngoma Safari Lodge in a Suite with

ensuite bathroom. Your stay includes all meals, all local brand

drinks, laundry, scheduled activities, road transfers from

Ngoma Safari Lodge

Chobe River Front, Botswana

Set within the Chobe Forest Reserve, bordering the Chobe

National Park and overlooking the Chobe River, Ngoma Safari

Lodge offers panoramic views of the river and the floodplain.

Eight river-facing suites provide a total emphasis on space,

luxury and comfort. Each of the suites boasts a view of the river

and offers an opportunity to see the famous Chobe elephant, as

well as other wildlife, on the floodplain below. Incorporating

rustic and ethnic accents, as well as natural materials and

finishes, each suite features spacious living areas, a deep

bathtub, indoor and outdoor showers, and an open lounge area

with a “refresh and relax pool” that maximises the beautiful

The Elephant Camp

Day 9

After a delicious breakfast you will be transferred to Kasane

International Airport.Upon arrival at Kasane International

Airport you will be met by an andBeyond representative and be

driven by private vehicle to The Elephant Camp. Your transfer

involves clearing customs and immigration formalities at both

the Botswana and Zimbabwe border posts. (Approximately 2

hours).

Explore the sights of Victoria Falls during your 2 night stay at

The Elephant Camp Main in a Luxury Tented Suite with ensuite

bathroom. Your stay includes all meals, local brand drinks,

house wines, complimentary mini bar in the rooms, return

Victoria Falls or Livingstone Airport transfers, two transfers to

Victoria Falls town per day and laundry. Activities include an

opportunity to meet the Wild Horizons elephants, cocktails and

canapes at the Batoka Gorge, a nature walk on the concession,

a visit to the Victoria Falls Wildlife Trust, lunch and drinks at

the Lookout Cafe, a mountain bike ride through the Victoria

Day 10

Private Tour of the Falls - Zimbabwe - Thrill yourself with the

memorable opportunity to explore the breathtaking rainforest

that surrounds the majestic Victoria Falls. This adventure

begins at the Victoria Falls Map Room where your guests guide

will divulge the fascinating history, layout and geology of the

Falls. Afterwards, your guests will make their way on foot to

the David Livingstone Statue and then onwards through the

flourishing rainforest to the beautiful view points of Cataract

View, Devils Cataract, the main Falls and then lastly to the

Eastern Cataract.

Zambezi Explorer - Sunset Cruise on the Signature Deck. At the

end of the day, sail upstream to celebrate the setting African

sun. Share in the end-of-day ritual which sees wild herds

streaming to the river banks for their last drink. Flocks of birds

skim the waterline as the sun sets behind the African skyline.
