SESSION ABSTRACT: Patient Protection and Accountable Care Act legislation will impact state Medicaid programs in 2014. This session will describe the effect on state Medicaid programs, specifically Texas legislation governing Texas Medicaid. Programs at Texas organizations will be discussed, as well as reform activities underway within the hospital industry.

1. Identify key state and federal legislative initiatives influencing the Texas Medicaid program
