and computerized machining techniques adapted from the aerospace

340 Monsoon. The Monsoon 340 (340 HP) delivers out of the hole with 397 foot-pounds of torque. This customized version of GM’s Vortec 5.7L is designed specifi cally for Malibu’s performance hulls. The Indmar ETX one-piece tuned exhaust manifolds plus high-lift roller cam and free-breathing Vortec heads equal one of the most powerful, dependable small blocks ever built.

Hammerhead 383. The Hammerhead 383 (400 HP) is the most powerful 5.7L small-block V8 ever developed for inboard use. Its aggressive new appearance matches its 400 horsepower and 420 foot-pounds of torque. Capped with Malibu’s exclusive intake plenum, it sports Indmar’s high-fl ow multi-port induction system, GM’s FastBurn aluminum heads and Indmar-spec cam with 1.6:1 roller rockers for less friction, more power.

320 LCR. The 320 LCR (320 HP) is the multi-port fuel injected power-horse in Malibu’s engine line-up. With 320 horses and 375 foot-pounds of torque, its core is the latest Delphi ECM (engine computer module) running the latest software, custom-calibrated by Indmar. The 320 LCR is programmed to deliver the power, turn-key starts, dependability and fuel effi ciency that only Indmar’s MPI delivers.

Vortec 8100. Vortec 8100 (425 HP) its 496 cubic-inch offers up to 450 horse power and 525 foot-pounds of torque. 9.1:1 high-compression Vortec heads turn out more usable power from every fuel charge. The MPFI aluminum intake manifold bolsters cylin-der-to-cylinder airfl ow distribution for cleaner, more dependable combustion. Finely tuned plenum runners and the coil-near-plug ignition system (distributorless) enhance low-end torque and delivers awesome power.

Wedge Technology vs. OtherSome competitors grind all the hook out of the hull design and use a trim tab that, when deployed, will push the bow down, negating any wake-enhancing hull displacement. A Trim plate only changes the attitude of the boat, but does not displace the hull. Therefore, only the wake shape changes. The Wedge utilizes advanced foil technology to displace the hull and at the same time adjust the attitude of the boat for huge, yet adjustable wakes. It is the only such system in the industry and has factored into fi ve Boat of the Year Award performances.

1. Illusion X The Malibu Illusion X for 2006 is standard on all Wakesetter and Ride Series boats. New for this year is the quick pin breakdown tower, the fi rst ever EZ spring assist for raising and lowering the tower with minimal resistance or load–an ingenious development for accessory loaded towers. Also new are the optional swing-away racks, for easier mounting and dismounting of boards, and a navigation light built into the highest tower point.

2. CFT Blade The stylish CFT Blade establishes its functionality through its light, but strong carbon fi ber design and integrated list of accessories. Standard features of the Blade include a single or two-tone tower color combination, Kicker Ks693 speakers, integrated LS Sound Box and rack receivers available in a variety of custom fi nishes. Also standard is the new navigation light, built into the highest point of the tower. Optional vinyl tower covers are available also.
