1- Be a Document Controller.

Collect Documents Only – Progress Update.

Transfer documents form Contractor side to Client side – Weekly

Reports.

Huge data without Analysis.




2- Enjoy being a Client Requirement.

Planners exists only to satisfy client and the contractual requirements.

Planners are not useful and construction teams don't follow time

schedules.




3- Produce more Colorful Documents.

Planning engineer role is to develop a lot of colorful documents to

submit to client and project manager. No one looks to it anyway!




4- Be an AC Engineer.

Planner position is to be in office, data should come to him/her,

Construction site visit is not required, it is hot/cold over there.




5- Police Man “ Audit Person”

Planning Engineer is the police man of the project , s/he will report

update and delays, and don’t interested in proactive plans, just

making updates , and finding the wrong things when happened.




6- Not interested in Plan B

Site should execute the time schedule as is. It is very hard to change

the original time schedule to match the site conditions.




7- Meetings Person.

I am sorry , I have no time I have lot of long meetings to attend.

Spending less time with the project team.




8- Planning mean Planner only!

No need for the project team inputs, I know everything!

Coordination between project team is the project manager

responsibility, Not mine!

Time schedule is not being followed by the site team.




9- I will do one report only!

It is not my problem if the site team do not understand my reports.

Site team should learn project management by themselves.




10- Planning means Primavera

I work only with Primavera, and I will do any schedule using Oracle

Primavera Only!
