We lost two very special people last month: Life Member and Treasurer, Helene Smith and Stefano Coaloa. Please keep their families in your prayers, especially during this holiday season. We had over 40 people attend this year’s Thanksgiving dinner at the Club. We all enjoyed three turkeys, hams, countless side dishes and appetizers and a never-ending supply of desserts. Everyone’s dishes were truly outstanding. I would like to thank everyone who helped set up, slice, dice, chop, carve, mash, baste, boil, stir, eat, break down, vacuum, wipe and clean the dishes. Rox and I could not have done it without the help of all of you. Your efforts were very much appreciated and exemplify the true meaning of our do-it-yourself club.

Another year has passed and congratulations to the incoming Bridge and Board. Changing of the Guard (the evening that I hand the keys to the Club over to Keith Mott) will be on December 8 at 7:00. Newly elected Officers and Directors are sworn in and we enjoy a nice dinner afterwards. Please try to attend and support your new Board.
Well, after 60 Log articles, this is my final adieu. It has been an extraordinary honor and I have been truly very fortunate to have served on the Bridge and Board of PMYC for the past seven years. It seems like only yesterday that Bob Smith called me up and asked me to be on the Board of Directors. I would like to thank my Bridge and Board for the great job they did this year. A lot of hours were put in and it was a pleasure working with you. Your time and efforts are greatly appreciated. I would also like to thank the many members (too many to mention here) who have stepped up, volunteered and put in a lot of their personal time to make PMYC what it is. My thanks to all of you. The person that I have to thank the most is my incredible wife, Roxann. As you all know, Roxann has worked side by side with me every step of the way as I have moved up the Chairs. She has been a tremendous help to me and I probably wouldn’t have made it to Commodore without her tireless efforts, assistance, advice, support and encouragement. She has done so much for our Club and me over these past seven years and my appreciation and gratitude for what she has done is immeasurable. You are the best, Pookie.
Please don’t think that Rox and I won’t be coming around the Club, as we will still be there to help out, put on an occasional party and spend quality time with our fantastic members.
Thanks for the memories and see you at the Club or on the water.

Greetings to all:
As the year comes to a close, let us reflect and give a moment of silence to the recent passing of Club Members Helene and Stefano....
2017 for PMYC has been a sad one and a Great one. As we move forward to 2018, I would also like everyone to take a moment and realize PMYC will be celebrating 55 years since its founding. Many good and great members have come through this club and there are many fond memories.
As I take the helm as your Commodore for 2018, I look forward to PMYC standing another 55 years and next year being one of the great and fun years added to the chapter of the club.
Looking forward to new members stepping up, long time members guiding and everyone continuing to make PMYC the fun place that it is.

Tony Milazzo - Fleet Captain My last article as Fleet Captain? More FAKE NEWS!!! If you didn't attend PMYC's Annual Comedy Night this year, you will hear the buzz around the clubhouse on what a hilarious and fun time we had! The lineup of my funny friends from TV was Courtney Scheuerman, Dwayne Perkins, Joey Medina, Helen Hong, Gwenda Perez & Adam Richmond. The food was delicious as usual! Special thanks to Karen Majdali and Dawn Vasquez and friends in the kitchen. Thanks to all the PMYC members who made it happen by attending or helping to make it happen. Without the members and guests there is no show! Looking forward to seeing if we
can top it next year. Yes!!! There will be a 14th annual PMYC Comedy Night next year. Thanks!!! 2017 was a fantastic year!!! I am going to New York for the holidays to freeze! Enjoy the beautiful Cali weather! I will be thinking of all of you. Happy Holidays!

MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL
As everyone knows, we have lost a dear
friend and the matriarch of PMYC
Helene Smith. Well, she was also the
"Aunt B" of Monday night football for the
past 12 years serving her delicious meals
that we all loved and enjoyed.
We are all going to miss that and the cooking
for the Kid’s Christmas party every year.
There is a void for Monday night football dinners and I want to thank Staff
Commodore Barrie Harnett for steeping up last week and Janae and Staff
Commodore Leslie Bond for this week. This is their second dinner of the
season.
Ms. Tina Michel is cooking in one week and Commodore Keith is doing his
2nd dinner the last week of MNF.
Next year we will put a list up for dinner and anyone interested, please sign
up. Keeping it simple or take out food is fine. Nothing elaborate and
expensive as a Friday Night dinner is the goal.
Thank You
PMYC Sports Committee
The Super Bowl pool will be out the weekend after New Years.

please make sure to close everything up if you are the
last person to leave the club. Here is a quick summary of
the closing process.
1. West Balcony. Make sure the white metal gate by the stairs is closed and
locked. Make sure the heaters are turned off. If there are any plastic cups, bottles,
cans, etc. on the tables, please throw them out. Lock the doors leading out to the
West balcony.
2. Back Room. Make sure all of the doors and windows are closed and locked.
Make sure the ceiling fans and lights are turned off.
3. Galley. Make sure all of the windows are closed and locked. Make sure the

sink. If the garbage can is full, please take it out to the dumpster and put a new trash
bag in the garbage can. Make sure the lights are turned off.
4. Main Room. Make sure the fireplace is turned off. Push in all of the chairs and
stools. If there are any plastic cups, bottles, cans, etc. on the tables, please throw
them out. Make a ‘drop’, if necessary. Clean any glasses that may be in the sink.
Make sure the ceiling fans and lights are turned off. There are some security lights
that will not go out.

From the 2017 Board and Staff Commodores...
In this wonderful season of giving, something to think about:
Have you “borrowed” anything from PMYC that you have
forgotten to return? How about a glass, a coffee cup, a plate or
bowl? Doesn’t ring a bell yet? How about kitchen utensils? Pots
and pans. Knives. Even salt and pepper shakers have walked out
the door. Yes, salt and pepper shakers! Books. The DVD and CD
collection is half of what used to be on the shelves. Take a look
around at home and bring them back where they belong.
You will feel good and...... It's the time of the year to do something
good!!!!!
