Auto 21 AUTO21 is a national research initiative

supported by the Government of Canada through the networks of Centres of Excellence Secretariat.

AUTO21 brings together nearly 200 top Canadian researchers at 46 universities and partners them with 120 industry and government partners. An annual research budget of approximately $11 million in federal and industry support fund projects within six key research themes, Including Engine research and development, Advanced fuel testing, and alternative fuel research.

Currently, AUTO21 supports 38 research projects exploring issues that range from consumer education in the use of safety devices, to new or improved processes for design, materials and manufacturing, to advanced fuel research.
