1 Corinthians 9: (NLT)
24 Remember that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize. You also must run in such a
way that you will win.
25 All athletes practice strict self-control. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize.
26 So I run straight to the goal with purpose in every step.
I am not like a boxer who misses his punches.
27 I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what
it should…
Matthew 4:
23 Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues,
preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease
and sickness among the people.
24 News about him spread all over Syria, and people brought to him all who were ill with various diseases,
those suffering severe pain, the demon-possessed, those having
seizures, and the paralyzed, and he healed them.
Psalm 71:
17 Since my youth, O God, you have taught me, and to this day I declare your marvelous deeds.
18 Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, O God, till I declare your power to the next
generation, your might to all who are to come.
1 Chronicles 29:
28 David died at a good old age, having enjoyed long life,
wealth and honor. His son Solomon succeeded him as
king.
2 Timothy 2:
3 Endure hardship with us like a good soldier of Christ Jesus.
2 Timothy 4:
7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have
kept the faith.
1 Timothy 4:
8 For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise
for both the present life and the life to come.
