However, a Father that is not healthycannot really bring the above or More tothe table.
10
Our Responsibility to Care for Our Body:
11
Proverbs 14:30 (NLT)A peaceful heart leads to a healthybody; jealousy is like cancer in thebones.
12
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (NLT)Don’t you realize that your body is thetemple of the Holy Spirit, who lives inyou and was given to you by God? Youdo not belong to yourself, 20 for Godbought you with a high price. So youmust honor God with your body.
13
Romans 12:1 (NLT)1And so, dear brothers and sisters,[a] Iplead with you to give your bodies toGod because of all he has done for you.Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This istruly the way to worship him.
14
3 John 1:2 (NIV)Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoygood health and that all may go wellwith you, even as your soul is gettingalong well.
15
What Exactly Is Health?
16
Typically, we see health as:A state in which a host of phenomenally complexorgan systems function smoothly, if not at peakperformance. It includes:1. Physical Health2. Emotional Health3. Spiritual health
17
Like your physical health, emotionalhealth may be described as:Stability and resilience; a positive but alsorealistic outlook on life; or a sense ofhumor, joy, contentment, and generalcalm in the face of difficulty
18
Indicators of problems with emotional health are:Persistent anxiety, depression, irritability, frequentoutburst of anger, overt hatred, pessimism, suspicion and despair.
Furthermore, not being spiritually healthy willhave an effect on the state of the emotions andbody.
19
Why Invest Time and Effort Pursing Better Health?
20
We will only act when we truly believe itis of utmost importance!
Belief leads to Thoughts which leads toEmotions and then Actions.
21
1. Life is a precious gift and themeter is running.
David the psalmist praised both theintricacy of our earthly frame andthe One who designed it, (psalm139:13-14, and psalm 103:14-16).
22
1. Life is a precious gift and the meter isrunning.
Our bodies are indeed ‘fearfully andwonderfully made’ and have fabulouspowers of recuperation and regeneration. The body you have been given can berepaired (to a certain degree) but cannot bereplaced.
So, you need to treat it withrespect, protect it, maintain it, andgive it the best fuel possible?
23
2. Health increases our degree offreedom.
A healthy person nearly always has acapacity:To do more,See more,Experience more,…
24
…and most important, serve God in more ways than
a person whose health issignificantly impaired.
Poor health ultimatelytranslates into limitation of all.sorts.
25
26
3. We are accountable for the gift of lifewe have been given.
We must realize that we have beengiven life for a purpose: That of knowingand serving the God who designed us
27
Remember: We have been created byGod for God.The apostle Paul made this elementalfact abundantly clear when he wrote tothe church in Corinth.
28
1 Corinthians 6:15 and in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, Apostle Paul here, addressed the issue ofownership. Now the Apostle in this passagewas dealing with immorality but the sameprinciple can be applied to anything that wedo against our bodies!
29
Seven pillars of good health by Dr Don Colbert.
30
What you don't know about theseseven "pillars" of good health may bederailing God's plans for your life -Don Colbert.
31
Pillar #1: WaterIt is the single most important nutrient forour bodies. Most people's bodies arestarved of clean, natural water. Many peopledo not drink enough water. Some do not likethe taste of it, or they were never taught theimportance of or how to drink it.
32
Pillar #1: WaterSome parents most frequently give theirwards juice, soft drinks, milk - anything butwater. As a result, many people spend theirday going from one caffeinated or sugar-baseddrink to another.
33
They jump-start their mornings withcoffee.
By midmorning they take anothercarbonated drink for another boost, then drink sweetened caffeinated icedtea/ drink for lunch.
34
Late afternoon it's another coffee-based or "10 percent juice" drink.
Little do they know that all thatcaffeine and sugar are actually stealingwater from their bodies, doing themmore harm than good.
35
Water is the most basic pillar of health, and many people are paying a terribleprice for ignoring it. A body that isslightly dehydrated goes into a sort ofrationing mode, diverting needed waterto vital organs.
36
Inadequate hydration can be asignificant factor in back and jointpain, arthritis, high bloodpressure, digestion problems, andasthma, among other things.
37
Water plays a vital role in regulatingbody temperature, transportingnutrients and oxygen to cells, removingwaste, cushioning joints and protectingorgans and tissues.

Pillar #4: ExerciseOver 75 percent of the people who startexercise programs quit; health clubs bank onthat. Your body is two-thirds water - whathappens to water that sits stagnant? Whenwater moves, life thrives. Exercise will help inthe following ways:

106
Pillar #5: DetoxificationThat is what it means to be toxic. Most people who suffer fromchronic disease are actually affectedby toxins, heavy metals, chemicals, and microbes.
107
Fortunately, there are things you canstart doing today - as simple asdrinking healthy, taking in fiber, andsweating - to rid your body of toxinsand help your waste managementsystems keep them out.
108

109
Pillar #7: Coping with StressGood stress is healthy. It's our bodies naturalreaction to a real or perceived threat. Butwhen stress goes on too long, it can leave youwith a lot of stress hormones in your body.

113
Conclusion
114
The good news is that you do not haveto be a statistic. Wouldn't it be great tomeet your great-grandchildren - andkeep up with them? Surely you wouldlike someone to tell you that you look 20years younger than your age.
115
Can you imagine what it would feellike not to experience the stiff jointsand headaches that have disruptedyour life for several years?
116
Paying attention to these sevenpillars will help you restore yourhealth and reclaim your life. It couldset you on the path to being healthy, happy, and whole - just as Godintended.
