The GUARDIAN Programfor cell phones
Students can notify UAPD at the touch of a button; Can set a passive timer based on their expected
time of arrival at a campus destination or in the Tuscaloosa area;
If an emergency call is made or the timer is not deactivated, the software notifies UAPD and will provide a student profile and usually gives a GPS location for response;
If the system is deactivated by the student arriving at their desired location, no information is given to UAPD.
Sign up at mybama.ua.edu; select the GUARDIAN link.
