To grade or not to grade, that is always the question. You don’t have time to grade everything you assign but

you want to give the assignment a meaning or purpose. This week we take a look at an article by Jennifer

Gonzalez titled “20 Ways to Cut Grading Time in Half”. Hope this article helps you be able to manage and

Walkthroughs and Observations

• This week administration will be conducting Powerwalks, T-Tess Walkthroughs and scheduled observa-tions

• There are three Fundamental Staff Developments that have been scheduled. They will take place dur-ing your conference. These staff developments will not take the place of PLC’s. We will be giving you the time spent on these trainings back to you at a later time (SIT Committee will decide when at next meeting). Below are the dates and topics for the trainings:

Monday, November 13, 2017: Framing the Lesson

Tuesday, December 5, 2017: Small Group Purposeful Talk

Wednesday, January 10, 2017: Critical Writing

• Reminder that Powerwalks are only a 3-minute snapshot of your classroom. We do not expect to see everything. Over several Powerwalks it gives trends of what is happening in the classroom.

• Our visitors on Thursday were very excited on what they saw in the classrooms.
