Croatia: Ordinance on VAT ammendmentsImplemented EU directive 2010/45/EU 3 methods for VAT compliance
– Electronic signature, EDI, Process controls– Explicitly expressed acceptance of the recipient
needed before sending the first invoice Specific:
– Requires recording of date & time of sending AND receiving the invoice
– Invoices must be archived in the same format as they were sent
– Authenticity of the sender and integrity of the content must also be ensured during the invoice transmission
– Uncertainty regarding the tax audit requirements

Counseling body of the Croatian Government Tasks of the National E-Business Council:
– Proposing measures for sustainable development of e-Business, as well as the information and communication technology in the Republic of Croatia;
– Providing opinion on documents (legal regulations, strategies, programms and reports) in the field of e-Business in the Republic of Croatia
– Providing opinions and recommendations on harmonizing the state e-Business development policy in the Republic of Croatia with the EU policy;
