Ni muhimu dialogue iwepo kati ya students na administration shuleniMinistry of Education ime-support ku-form-iwa kwa school council ili ku-replace prefects kwa shule in the next 2 years. Hii itafanyika kwa usaidizi wa Unicef na Kenya Secondary Schools Heads Association. Student representatives huchaguliwa na mastude, na kukutana na mastude ili ku-ongea juu ya problems shuleni.

School Council inaleta Democracy kwa shule

Sababu za kuwa na shida kwa shule:

a) Pressure ya ku-perform: Teachers na wazazi wana-expect-students ku-perfom highly ili wa-enroll kwa machuo. Mastude hawana wakati wa kupumzika during holidays na instead huenda tuition. Mastude wengine huona masomo si important juu wanaona wasee wana-mada shule na kukaa idle na unemployed.

b) Maparo hawako involved kwa maisha ya watoto wao. Wanapeleka kwa board-ing school na hawa-spend time na watoto wao.

c) Bullying ya mastude espe-cially monos.

d) Prefects huwa wanaon-goza kidikteta inafanya wasipendwe na mastude.

Faida za kuwa na school council kwa shule yenu:

a) Inasaidia kusuluhisha shida za mastude kab-la ya ku-cause demonstrations au strikes. 300 schools were closed down in 2008 as a result of unrest

b) Students wanapewa power ya kuchagua lead-ers na play part kwa kusuluhisha shida kati ya students na school administration. Hii ni muhimu kwa sababu decisions zinazofanywa hu-affect wanafunzi.

c) ita-improve performance: School council itasaidia ku-create atmosphere poa ya masomo na ya shule

Uliza headteacher kama shule yenu inawe-za kuwa na school

council. Tuma views zako juu ya school council

on 3008.
