Disassemble - Replace Parts

By using a pin or tweezer, gently separate TOP and BOT HSG. Lift off TOP HSG. BOT HSG is removed by sliding it gently towards sound outlet

PB button and silicone cap come off together with the TOP HSG. Lift off the TGL and sili-cone cap. Locate the pin for batt door

Push out the pin to separate the batt door from service module

Toggle and cap

Hold the instrument between thumb and index finger. Use index finger on the other hand to gently press down till batt door is open. This procedure must be done without touching any other part of the batt door during opening

Disassemble - Replace Parts (Milano 70/80 is shown)

Re-assembling: Mount the small silicone caps onto PB and TGL. Insert PB into TOP HSG with the widest side towards batt door. Add TGL/TGL lid to the service module with the widest side towards batt door and the arrow pointing towards PB. Make sure the TOP HSG is fitted correctly into the recess in the service module when mounting. Close out the device by opening the batt door and attaching the BOT HSG. Add small loctite 420 adhesive on the housing joint (internal area by batt door compartment area) to seal the HSG together. Be careful not to spill glue on the external joint of the HSG.The TGL/TGL lid can be replaced without separating the HSG parts - see next page

When changing HSG BOT, the ID plate must be transfered to new HSG. Please note the ID plate is not an available spare part. Push out the plate from inside the old HSG by using a pin or tweezer

Disassemble - Replace Parts (toggle/lid - Milano 70/80 models only)

Open batt door and press with a small screwdriver onto the back end of the toggle until it releases

Insert new TGL or TGL lid. Press down until it clicks in place. Make sure the arrow on the back side of the TGL/TGL lid is pointing towards the hook

Remove the hook from HI by turning coun-terclockwise. Release the filter removal tool from filter frame

Insert the filter tool into the pipe and push out the filter

Mount the hook to the HI by turning clockwise

Mount the new filter as shown

Note: If the model is a Power version, the filter must NOT be inserted. Furthermore for the VERSO/UP High Power configuration, the metal hook must be chosen (without filter)

Mount the thin tube adaptor to the HI by turning clockwise. Remove the stop. Choose a thin tube and dome in suitable sizes and mount as shown (see part list for available sizes tubes and domes) Note: Thin tube option available for Milano 60/70 models only

Service Procedure:

- Save user settings with Device Diagnostics or Aventa - Disassemble faulty device- Replace module with a new service module from stock- Assemble device- Restore user settings with Device Diagnostics or Aventa- Load customer serial No (ID Plate) using Device Diagnostics or DSA6000

Postponement Procedure:

- Disassemble device- Replace housing parts with new parts from stock- Transfer ID-plate from old housing to new housing- Verify battery door by open and close once

Testing

Add a batt pill and close batt door. Insert the one end of the prog adapt into the square prog port of the device

Push the bot part of prog adapt un-til it clicks to lock it on the device

Button(press down to unlock after use)

NOTE: An extension prog cable must be used during final HI test due to the current measuring. Con-nect the prog cable to the extension prog cable and connect the extension prog cable to the DSA6000

It is important to have the prog cable connected before adding the clip to the prog adaptor. Add the clip as shown. The clip is recommended to be used during test / fitting in order to keep the prog cable connected during the complete procedure

Use of test fixture is mandatory for all Milano BTE during DSA6000 final HI testing. To use the fixture, place the HI in the fixture according to pic. Place it in the test chamber as shown and select the correct test tpix and make sure to follow instructions coming up on the screen. During the test programme execution the IAD calibration will be performed at the appropriate time. Another bennefit from the fixture is that the HI is in a well defined position so the telecoil test can be performed without any interaction from the operator

HI Testing

Test tubing is normal 20 mm effective lenght as for all AUDIOmaster BTE testing

Wireless Test / RF (Radio Frequency) Test / Connection Test

The test is performed in the open air on the desktop. During a DSA6000 test prog running the RF connection the operator will be asked to place the device in the WL Test point. During the connection test the device does not need to be connected with a prog cable and a batt pill. Instead a fresh batt must be inserted. The RF connection test is a part of the Final Device Test running on the DSA 6000. The test system will search for a device with a s/n matching the s/n for the Device Under Test (DUT) in the running test sequence

To make sure the device is in boot mode the batt must be inserted immediately before the [Start] button is pressed. The WL Test point is a spot on the table approx 20 cm away from the Airlink dongle. The s/n matching will prevent connection with any other wireless devices in the nearby area. Best practice is to first insert the battery and im-mediately after press the Start button (within 5 sec) insert the batt to start the device boot sequence

Wireless test using Airlink:The DSA6000 is able to test the wireless function on the devices. Two test modes are defined for wireless devices called RF signal test and Connection Test. For Service & Repair situations the Connection test is to be used. The Connection test is performed using an Airlink fitting dongle mounted directly in any of the DSA 6000 units USB ports. The test mode is selected in the Test Parameters communication box. The RF signal test should not be selected. No fixture is required performing a Connection test
