    Questions on organizational structure1 What is your understanding of a client?

    From a hierarchical point of view, the client is the highest unit in the SAP system. Itsymbolizes the whole company (group). All additional organizational units, whichwe build now, belong to this specific client.

    2What is your understanding of a company code?

    We require a company code in the SAP system to create the balance sheet and profit and loss statement in accordance with statutory provisions. If you haveestablished separate legal subsidiaries, you have to create a separate companycode for each subsidiary. For branch plants without separate legal status, you donot need a company code.

    3 What is your understanding of a plant?

    The plant is the central organizational unit of logistics in the SAP system.Everything associated to logistics is assigned to the plant, for instance the salesand purchasing organization, the warehouses and the shipping point.

    4 What is your understanding of a purchasing organization?

    The purchasing organization (PuOr) is responsible for the procurement ofmaterials.

    5 What is your understanding of a storage location?

    The storage location is a part of a plant. It maps the quantitative inventorymanagement.

    6What is the function of the company code?

    We need a company code in the SAP system for the creation of the balance sheetand profit and loss statement in accordance with statutory provisions.

    No, the storage location only shows the inventory stock. The warehouse numberspecifies the place.

    It is e.g. possible that there is a central storage location, which delivers to several plants.
