Cecile WakeVICE PRESIDENT COMMERCIAL, SHELL AUSTRALIA, BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA

Cecile is a senior executive with 20 years international experience in LNG, oil and gas project development & operations and high-value M&A transactions in the oil, gas and mining sectors. In her current role, Cecile is the Vice-President Commercial Australia at Shell Australia where she is the head of commercial and economics and a member of the Shell Australia country leadership team. She has accountability for all of the commercial arrangements that underpin Shell’s oil & gas investments in Australia. Cecile joined Shell in 2016 following the combination with BG Group. Prior to the combination, Cecile was the Growth Director at QGC with direct accountability for Commercial, Business Development and Contracts & Procurement and indirect accountability for Exploration and Supply & Optimisation. Prior to assuming commercial leadership roles at BG Group and Shell, Cecile was a corporate partner at leading international law firm Herbert Smith Freehill’s in and her Corporate Energy practice focused on complex cross-border oil, gas and LNG project development, high-value M&A transactions in the oil, gas and mining sectors and long-term sales arrangements for oil, gas and LNG. Cecile is a director of Shell Energy Australia (a wholly owned subsidiary of Shell) and also serves on the boards of UQ Sport Ltd and St. Aidan’s Anglican Girls School. Cecile earned a B.Econ and LLB (Hons) from the University of Queensland in 1991 and 1995 respectively. She represented Australia at seven World Championships and multiple World Cups in the sport of Modern Pentathlon between1995 – 2001. Cecile and her husband, Alex, have two children and live in Brisbane, Australia.

Meade HarrisFOUNDER AND CEO OF THE HAWTHORN CLUB

Meade Harris is Founder and CEO of the Hawthorn Club. Meade founded the Club when, as an executive in the energy industry, covering Europe, The Middle East & Africa, she realized that women were badly underrepresented. Rather than accept the status quo, she set out to change the face of the sector. Meade has demonstrated considerable entrepreneurial spirit, growing The Hawthorn Club to include branches on four continents, sponsored by some of the world’s biggest energy companies – from upstream and downstream, utilities and power, to traditional and new disruptive technologies. Her experience doing business in over 20 countries has given her a global outlook on business and life.

Previously she was Senior Advisor on Business Development for the Global CCS Institute in the Americas covering the US, Canada, Central and South America. She also worked as a Senior Advisor to Global CCS Institute’s European office in Paris for 4 years, where she was responsible for building the organisation’s relationships with Governments and Corporations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Meade completed her undergraduate degree at the University of New Hampshire,during which time she also studied at Sydney University, before reading for a Master’s degree in International Relations & Energy Security at King’s College London.

Melanie WillisCEW MEMBER, CHALLENGER LTD AND SOUTHERN CROSS AUSTEREO, NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Melanie Willis is a Non-Executive Director and Audit and Risk Committee Chair with extensive experience across a range of sectors including financial services, insurance, tourism and leisure, media, property and infrastructure.

Melanie currently serves on the Boards of Challenger Limited and Southern Cross Austereo. She has experience Chairing Audit and Risk Committee at Southern Cross Austereo and has served on the Human Resources and Nominations Committee as a member on many of her current and prior Boards. She was previous a non-executive director on the Board of Hydro Tasmania.

Melanie has a strong connection to the start-up community acting as an adviser and advocate to Blue Chilli’s She Start Program and KPMG’s Elevate 61 Program and proactively seeks opportunities to marry early stage companies with complementary corporates that typically have strong brands and distribution footprints.She is also Chair of the Education Committee for the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) 30% Club and a Mentor for the AICD’s 2018 chairman’s mentoring program.

In her executive career Melanie was responsible, as CEO NRMA Investments, for NRMA’s $900m Investment portfolio, tourism and leisure subsidiaries, Group Strategy and Innovation. Prior to this she was CEO of a consumer credit start up and held senior roles in corporate and structured finance at Deutsche Bank, Bankers Trust and Westpac.

Angela Macdonald-Smith heads energy coverage at the Australian Financial Review where she has worked for the past eight years as part of a career writing on energy and related industries for newswires and publications in London, Singapore and Sydney. At the AFR Angela helms reporting on companies and policy spanning oil and gas, LNG, energy infrastructure and renewables.

Merryn has more than 25 years’ experience in the Queensland electricity industry, 16 of which have been spent in senior leadership positions. An Electrical Engineer by profession, Merryn has worked in all facets of transmission network service delivery including asset management, regulation, capital investment and governance, customer engagement and business development, and network planning and performance.As Chief Executive of Powerlink Queensland since 2011, Merryn is leading the business in its transformation to align with the changing external environment and better meet customer and shareholder expectations.

Merryn is a Board Member of Energy Networks Australia (ENA), and also Chairs the ENA Policy and Strategy Committee.

Kerryn GrahamHEAD OF RISK & ANALYTICS, ENERGYAUSTRALIA, MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA

Kerryn Graham heads up the Risk & Analytics Function at EnergyAustralia, and is a director of EnergyAustralia Finance Pty Ltd. Kerryn joined the company in 2006 and has held a number of senior leadership roles within Finance over this time. Prior to EnergyAustralia, she spent 5 years at Enertrade, an energy company in Queensland, where she worked in a range of market analysis and risk roles. At EnergyAustralia, Kerryn leads the women’s network, which was established in 2014, and aims to support women at all levels across the organisation and contribute to building an inclusive culture where we can bring our whole selves to work and have a sense of belonging. The network has grown substantially under Kerryn’s leadership, and currently has around 150 active members.

Cristina CifuentesAER BOARD MEMBER & ACCC COMMISSIONER

Cristina has a breadth of experience in both the public and private sectors across public policy, finance and utility regulation, including positions at the Reserve Bank of Australia, the NSW Treasury and the Australian Securities Commission. She served as the State part-time Member of the Australian Energy Regulator between 2010 and 2013. Cristina was a member of the NSW Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal between 1997 and 2006.

Cristina is chair of the ACCC’s Communications Committee and the ACCC’s Infrastructure Committee. She oversees the ACCC’s regulatory role in relation to key infrastructure in areas such as telecommunications, wheat ports, rail, and water. She is also the Commonwealth Member of the AER Board which has

Johannah MaherVICE PRESIDENT, COMMERCIAL LEAD, MEGA DEAL TEAM • HEAD OF GLOBAL VALUE ENGINEERING, PRICING & ANALYSIS AT VES-TAS WIND SYSTEMS A/S, COPENHAGEN, DENMARK

Johannah lives in Denmark and has more than 10 years’ experience in wind energy. In her current role, she leads commercial innovation at Vestas, the world´s largest wind turbine OEM and leader in sustainable energy solutions. Johannah is a member of the commercial global management team and has built up the Value Engineering organisation in Vestas with relentless focus on optimizing wind energy solutions to increase wind´s competitiveness in the energy sector. In addition, she leads a specialised cross-functional team for addressing disruptive changes in the energy markets.

During her 10 years at Vestas, Johannah has worked across continents in sales, product development, as well as market and financial analysis. She is a member of the Sustainability Committee at Vestas and has initiated a network aimed at further yielding the documented benefits of fueling innovation and company performance through diversity, inclusion and belonging.

Prior to joining Vestas, Johannah worked at Booz Allen Hamilton consulting on technology roadmaps for the Australian Defence Force. She holds a Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering from RMIT University, Melbourne.

Graham Bradley AM FAICDCHAIR OF THE BOARD OF ENERGYAUSTRALIA

Graham Bradley is a professional company director and is currently Non-Executive Chairman of GrainCorp, HSBC Bank Australia and EnergyAustralia Holdings. He is a director of Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited, GI Dynamics and Chairman of Infrastructure NSW. He is a director of Tennis Australia and chairs Virgin Australia International Holdings. Graham’s former board roles included Stockland Corporation (Chairman 2005–2016), Anglo American Australian Advisory Board (Chairman 2004–2016), Queensland Investment Corporation (Director 2004–2010), Singapore Telecommunications (Director 2004–2011), Boart Longyear (Chairman 2006–2010) and MBF (Bupa) (Director 2004–2010).

Graham was Managing Director of Perpetual Limited from 1995–2003. Under his leadership, Perpetual grew to become one of Australia’s leading listed funds management and financial services groups. Prior to joining Perpetual, Graham was National Managing Partner of national law firm, Blake Dawson (now Ashurst). Before this, Graham was a partner of McKinsey & Company, a leading international firm of management consultants. Graham was President of the Business Council of Australia from 2009–2011 and Deputy President of the Takeovers Panel. He is a member of the Advisory Council of the Australian School of Business at UNSW. Graham also devotes time to a range of non-profit organisations, including the State Library of NSW Foundation. Graham was made a member of the Order of Australia in 2009 in recognition of his contribution to business, medical research and the arts. He was Australian Institute of Company Directors Distinguished Fellow for 2012.

Catherine TannaMANAGING DIRECTOR, ENERGYAUSTRALIA

Catherine Tanna is Managing Director of EnergyAustralia, and a Member of the Boards of the Reserve Bank of Australia and the Business Council of Australia.

Prior to her current role, Catherine had a lengthy career in the international oil and gas industry as Managing Director of BG’s Australian business, QGC Pty Limited. Catherine led the development of Queensland’s first LNG project. In 2012 she was elevated to Chairman, BG Australia. Before BG Group, she held similar roles covering Africa, North Asia, Russia, Europe, North America and Latin America.

Catherine was formerly a Director on the Board of the 2018 Commonwealth Games Corporation and a member of the Australian G20 business body, the Lowy Institute’s G20 Advisory Committee and the Catholic Foundation Board.

Louise Herron AMCEO SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE

Qualifications: BA, LLB (Sydney University), LLM (London University); Graduate, Australian Institute of Company Directors

Louise Herron was appointed CEO of the Sydney Opera House in 2012, having previously been a lawyer and corporate adviser. She was chair of Sydney’s Belvoir Street Theatre for 10 years. Louise has led development of the Opera House’s Renewal program to ensure this World Heritage-listed icon and one of the world’s busiest performing arts centres meets the needs and expectations of 21st-century artists, audiences and visitors.

Christine is currently a non executive director on a number of Australian listed and not for profit entities. Her current directorships include CSL, Transurban, Energy Australia and Baker IDI. She is also the Deputy Chair of Care Australia.

Her current role as a non executive director followed a successful executive career that spanned in excess of 25 years and included experience in both financial and operational entities both domestically and off shore.

With an early career in chartered accounting, followed by 8 years in investment banking, Christine successfully migrated into an operational role that led to her appointment as CEO and Director of the GasNet Australia Group (ASX200) which she led for 5 years until December 2006.

During her leadership she was responsible for GasNet’s transformational change. GasNet evolved from a state owned entity to a leading gas utility.

From July 2007 until September 2012, she was Co-Head of Unlisted Infrastructure Investments at Colonial First State Global Asset Management and a member of the Executive Committee for the Global Asset Management business.

In the Colonial role, she had overall responsibility for the global unlisted infrastructure business (fund raising, asset identification, selection and acquisition) and direct responsibility for the management of assets that were acquired by Colonial First State Funds, or on behalf of clients.
