Short answers :

When we answer 'yes/no' questions in English, we have to usea subject (you, he, she) + the AUXILIARY VERB used in the question

If the question has the auxiliary verb (will, shall), we willuse it in the short answer.

- Will you be at home this evening ? Yes, I will (shall) - Will you phone me tomorrow ? No, I won't (shan't). - Will you forget me ? No, I won't (shan't).

N.B. Remember that it's wrong to use the short form in the affirmative but that it's most frequent to use it in the negative.
