Thereisanultrasonicweldribthatisdesignedalongtheinneredgeofthelensframe,asshowninFigure2andFigure3.Thisweldribisusedtoensureagoodsealusingultrasonicweldingtothecustomer’splasticenclosurebottom.Forultrasonicweldingdesignandprocessguidelinesaswellas3DCADmodelsofthesensormodule,pleasecontactValencell.

Themechanicaldesignhasbeenoptimizedtoreducetheimpactofthesensormoduleonindustrialdesign,especiallyintotalsensorheightwhenbuiltintothedevicehousing.Itisdesignedforeasyintegrationintothebottomshellofawristband,wristwatch,orarmbandwithpartofthemoduleprotrudingintotheinteriorofthewristproduct(~1mm),andpartprotrudingfromthebottomofthewristproduct(1.5mm).Thisdesignbalanceprovidesoptimalsensoraccuracywithminimaldisruptiontoothercomponentsoftheinterioroftheproductdesign.

ValencellProductDevelopmentDesignandTestServicesValencellhasyearsofexperiencehelpingcustomersbringaccuratebiometricwearablestomarket.Muchofthatexperiencehasbeencapturedinapplicationnotesandintheintegrationguide.FurtherdesignassistancecanbemadeavailablethroughValencell’sSupplyAgreementserviceprogram.Thissupportspansallstagesoftheproductdevelopmentprocess,fromproductconceptdevelopmentthroughmassproductionandmarketing.Formoredetails,contactValencell.
