Mission statement of St. Rose of Lima Parish As members, we are proud and respectful of the heritage of St. Rose of Lima Parish, begun in the 1850’s as a family of faith and dedicated service. Guided by the Holy Spirit, we strive to nurture a loving, friendly way of life, focused on God’s Word and Sacraments. Our parish life promotes quality of worship, religious education, assistance to those in need, fellowship, and preservation and improvement to the Church and its campus buildings and grounds, in the name of Jesus, Our Lord.

Announcements: Parish Driveway: The Parish Council has asked me to look into paving the area of the Parish hall drive way that continues to wash out. If you know of a reliable contractor that does this work please call Ted Henken at 225-‐206-‐4768. I am shooting for having this corrected after the Super Bowl party. Tithing Envelopes: The Tithing Envelopes are in the back of the Church. Please check for you name and number. If anyone is missing their tithing envelopes please contact Brittany in the Church Office. The envelopes help the Parishioners who count the offering every week. Church Office 251-‐973-‐2592 Tithing Letters: The tithing letters will be mailed out by the end of next week. Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women: The winter quarterly meeting of the Mobile Deanery Archdiocesan Council of Women will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 18th at 9:00am at St. James Major Catholic Church, 714 College St., Prichard 36610, Mass and Luncheon will follow meeting. The cost of lunch is $12 per person. Please make your reservations with Carlee Russell 251-‐533-‐4771 or Shirley Alexander 251-‐661-‐6537 or [email protected] by Monday, Jan. 16th. Super Bowl Bash 2017: There will be a meeting every Monday at 6:30pm to give tickets and to collect tickets for Super Bowl party. Tickets will also be available in the Church Office or contact Matt Orrell at 251-‐591-‐0929. Men of St. Joseph: The Men of St. Joseph meet every Tuesday morning at 6:30am. All men are welcome to join.
Upcoming Events: *Sodality Bingo will be held on Wednesday, January 18th. Doors open at 6:00pm and Bingo begins at 6:30pm.
