Procedure - a set of instructions for performing a task.
The task can be physical or mental EXAMPLE
Physical - taking the mass of a paper clipMental – making a metric conversion
Procedures are among the best known formats in technical communication.
Procedures tell users "how."

2. Without looking at your partner’s picture, take 5 minutes and write down the procedures you will tell your partner to draw your picture.
3. After 5 minutes, you will face back-to-back and give your partner directions on how to draw the picture.
4. After you are done, you will switch roles.
Take 2 minutes to decide who has the
