+What’s the big deal about middle school anyway?
A brief overview of what to expect in sixth grade at Londonderry Middle School

This year there are some BIG changes for everyone…
•new friends•new teachers•new responsibilities

Your kids expect a lot…
•to learn about new things in classes•to make connections and feel safe with others•to have fun
+But what do we expect of them?

Apologizing when you have made a mistake or done something wrong.

•Being responsible for actions and accepting the natural consequences for those actions.
• I am firm but fair when dealing with
discipline issues.

Being willing to help others in need.
+ Teamwork
ALL students belong to the sixth grade teamLearn to work together as individuals to accomplish goals while we are here at school – to get good grades, or to be a good friend, etc.

After school policy: Students must have a ride to bring them home by 4pm if they stay after.
Library Hours: •Monday-Thursday until 3:30pm •Fridays until 3pm
Some other things that you should know about
+If your child forgets something...
Parents can drop items off in the FRONT main office. It is then your child’s responsibility to pick up items between classes, before lunch, or on their way to music or gym.
