GlossaryWhite Space - is often referred to as Negative Space, It is the portion of a page left unmarked, this can result in clean looking images that are easy to look at
Monotone - without colour or variety, useful for showing the mood of a photo
Contemporary - photographers often use these developments to present new perspectives on traditional subjects and compositions. The word contemporary refers to everything that has occurred since the 1970s. Therefore, Contemporary Photography is not a genre, but a pinpoint in the history of Photography.
High Satuation - When adding contrast to an image, oftentimes the colours become more saturated
Low Saturation – Photos looked washed out due to the increase in Colour
Digitally Manipulated - Image editing software can be used to apply effects and warp an image until the desired result is achieved. The resulting image may have little or no resemblance to the photo
Primary Colours – The use of colours such as Red,White and Blue
Secondary Colours – The use of colours such as Purple, Orange And Green
Tertiary Colours – The use of Vibrant, highlighted colours
CMYK – used for cheaper printing C – Cyan M – Magenta Y – Yellow K – Key (black)
RGB – R – Red G – Green B – Blue used for scrren images
Harmonious Colours - Analogous colors are any three colors which are side by side on a 12-part color wheel, such as yellow-green, yellow, and yellow-orange. Usually one of the three colors predominates
Analogue colours
Analogous colors are groups of three colors that are next to each other on the color wheel, sharing a common color, with one being the dominant color, which tends to be a primary or secondary color, and a tertiary. Red, orange, and red-orange are examples.
Contrasting Colours
Resolution- refers to the number of pixels in an image. Resolution is sometimes identified by the width and height of the image as well as the total number of pixels in the image.
Tracking Shot
A tracking shot is any shot where the camera moves alongside the object(s) it is recording. In cinematography
POV shot - A point of view shot (also known as POV shot, First-person shot or a subjective camera) is a short film scene that shows what a character (the subject) is looking at (represented through the camera).
Non Diegetic sound - Non-diegetic sound. Sound whose source is neither visible on the screen nor has been implied to be present in the action
Post Production - Post-production, or postproduction, is part of the process of filmmaking, video production, and photography
Exposure - the intensity of light falling on a photographic film or plate multiplied by the time for which it is exposed. a combination of lens aperture and shutter speed used in taking a photograph
Shutterspeed - In photography, shutter speed or exposure time is the length of time when the film or digital sensor inside the camera is exposed to light
