LINDA’S TIDBITS

Christmas is fast approaching. It’s time to get out the decorations we had packed away, make cookies, buy gifts and wrap them. Christmas is a special time of the year for friends and relatives and heart- warming reunions. I’m sure everyone has traditions that have been handed down from generation to generation. Like decorations the same way every year, baking the same kinds of cookies, having the same meal. These are great traditions. People don’t like change. I guess I can say that I do things differently about every year. I don’t like to decorate the same way. I also love to see the decorations after they are up. The beautiful lights, the wreath, the garlands. Christmas is a

beautiful Holiday. It is a time to rejoice. It’s a good thing to observe Christmas Day and to keep Christmas in your heart. Forgive others that have done you wrong. Can you believe love is the strongest thing in the world? The blessed life which began in Bethlehem years and years ago is the image and brightness of Eternal Love. If you can keep Christmas in your heart for one day then we should be able to keep it there all year long.

Come join us for lunch at the Senior Center, Monday – Friday at noon. You must call in before 8:45am the day you want the meal.

Granada Huntly East Chain Middle and High School Choirs and more. Lunch will be served to the people that attend our open house at 3:15 or 3:30.

COME HELP US CELEBRATE THIS WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS SEASON!!

The Senior Center will be CLOSED on Christmas Day, Dec. 25th and New Year’s Day, Jan. 1st.
