CHANGE OF SENTENCES STARTING WITH HELPING VERBS

Use the reporting verb ‘asked’. Begin the reported speech with the

connecter ‘if’ or ‘whether’. Shift the helping verb after the subject to

make the sentence simple. Rest changes are as it is.

EXAMPLES-

He said to me, “Do you know my name”?

He asked me if I knew his name.

D- She said to me , “Will you come in this morning”? IN- She asked me if I would come in that morning

Sentences started with wh-words

Points:--Reported verb is changed into ordered , advised , requested , forbade etc.-Conjunction ‘TO’ is used
