Training Day 13 th February 2016 Training Weekend 12 th to 13 th March 2016 Competition Weekend 9 th to 10 th April 2016 West Lancashire Scouts Bowlander 2016 Where The training day will be held on Beacon Fell and the training weekend at Waddecar Scout Activity Centre. However, the Competition weekend camp is a secret until a month or so before the event. What is it? This is a 2 day Hiking Competition. Where you could achieve the following badges. Your own leaders should also provide other training events What do I need to understand? Map and compass reading. Walking times across rough moorland Walking a distance of 20km in a day Basic camping with no facilities provided. Scouts must be able to look after themselves as a team for the duration of the camp. Scouts must be able to cook their own food. How much will this cost 2016s event will cost as follows:- The Training day event will be 3 per Scout. The Training weekend will be 10 per Scout.
