brilliant lighting solutionsborn in Vienna – used worldwide

Lighting and Innovation, those two concepts that are necessary to ensure continued success in the international stage lighting markets. High quality technology for events and fixed installations in the fields of theatre, film and television.

These were the goals that were the foundation of Lighting Innovation, when created in 1997 by Hermann Sorger, his wife Brigitta and son Harald.

Steeped in traditional Viennese enterprise, Hermann worked for many decades, in a prominent position, to successfully develop HMI stage luminaires and followspots. Hermann learned what technicians and designers wanted and needed from a lifetime of worldwide travel.

Today, our range of products include manufacturers ETC, Wybron, GAM Effects equipment, Gobos, WYSIWIG lighting plan software from Cast, conventional spotlights from Art Lighting Production.

It did not take long to win over theatres and inspire designers with ETC products like the Source Four spotlights, SELADOR LED spotlights, the Congo, Eos and Ion lighting control systems, as well as Smartpack, PARADIGM the new architecteral lighting control and Sensor Thyristor- and Sinewavedimmer.

Inspired by technicians and designers, we began developing our own products, starting with the Inno Four and Motor-Yoke in 1997. Today, our product range includes Inno Dim 170 and Inno Dim 360, Super Beam 800/1200, Quattro Beam 2300, the Kardan Yoke and Super Spot 750 Halogen and HMI 575W Follow Spot. Last but not least MotorYoke 3 the new ultimate enhanced version of the popular MotorYoke 2 complete our product range. Lighting Innovation products are characterised by compact dimensions and lightweight construction.

The MotorYoke 3 carries Source Four and Inno Four luminaires, as well as heavier equipment such as 2000/5000 W and 1,2/2,5 HMI Fresnel/PC luminaires, Parabolic Reflector luminaires and Super Beam 800 and Super Beam 1200. The light-weight drive yoke is almost completely silent, offering the highest precision positional control and reproducibility.

The Inno Four spotlight combines the superb optical characteristics of the ETC Source Four with the brilliance of a 575 W HMI/MSR lamp. The Inno Four is a true energy saving luminaire, achieving very high brightness with low power consumption, an important consideration in today‘s ecolo-gically responsible world. Our products are distributed worldwide by our qualified distributors.

We are able to offer our customers complete lighting solutions; from choosing luminaires, control systems and dimmers to installations.

We are pleased that you are interested in our products, and are at your disposal to help with you order.

The SUPER BEAM 800TM is based on the innovative double reflector system of the SUPER BEAM 1200.

We were encouraged by Wolfgang Könnyü the head of lighting from the Vienna Volksoper to develop the SUPER BEAM 800 for front of stage applications needing powerful lighting in restricted space areas such as lighting slots.

The light output far exceeds that of the, since many years standard 500W/24V Parabolic-Mirror narrowspot, and does not need a transformer.

The 230V, 800W Halogen bulb is not expensive, and allows fast turn-on and turn-off times.

The SUPER BEAM 1200TM sets new standards for the lighting of large stages. The powerful beam is very convincing with a luminous intensity of 2.4 million Candela.

Owing to its innovative double reflector optics, it exceeds all its predecessors by far. Its compact construction makes its possible to use anywhere where much light is needed over large distances. It works equally well as a front of stage light as a backlight.

Having originated in theatre and opera, you will also be inspired by its use for outdoor stages.

The Cardan Yoke, with its gimbal mounted yoke arrangement, makes the SUPER BEAM 800TM and 1200TM into very useful follow spots for positioning on stage bridges and lighting positions in the auditorium. The movement is smooth and easy to control.

No matter if the beam direction is horizontal or vertical, or is moved to the right or left, the spotlight is always kept in its centre of gravity.

The QUATTRO BEAM 2300 is powerful enough to brighten up any size stage. It can be used in theatres, tv-studios and sports halls. The light output is equal to 5000W Fresnels but uses only 2300W. Beam angle can be set to between 15° and 50° by changing lenses.

30 QUATTRO BEAM 2300 units were installed in the Great Conference Hall of The Kremlin, Moscow, in November 2009, optimising the lighting for TV recordings.

NEW: QUATTRO BEAM 2300 turbo – 30% more light!

The range of INNO FOUR HMI/MSR 575 Watt profile spotlight offers a luminous intensity of more than four times brighter than the halogen Source Four. The optical strength of the light beam is further increased by the brilliant white colour temperature of 5500°K.

The INNO FOUR HMI spotlight is equipped with an electronic ballast, and can be used with 90–250 VAC, 50/60 Hz, and can be used world wide.

The range has one thing in common – enormous luminous intensity and low power consumtion.

The INNO FOUR Zoom 15°–30° and 25°–50° zoom spotlights allow flexibility for use in theatres and opera houses, and is a great addition to the range of fixed optics spotlights. If the Inno Four Zoom 15°–30° is used with INNO-DIM 170 and colour scroller the focus can be optimized with a balanced yoke assembly.

The range of fixed ETC optics have 5°, 10°, 14°, 19°, 26°, 36°, 50°, 70°and 90° beam angles.

ETC’s newly developed EDLT precision optics are available for the 19° to 50° units, used for enhanced sharpness and distortion free gobo projection.

MotorYokes with Source Four and INNO FOUR 19°–50° spotlights were installed as early as 1999 at the Vienna Volkstheater on the newly installed auditorium bridge.

High light output and 16-bit horizontal and vertical precision accuracy is achieved, with additional functions, such as motorized iris, focus, 0–100 % dimmer shutters and 16 frame colour scroller, controlled by the lighting control desk.

The audience, sitting below, never notice the lighting equipment above, testifying to its silence and accuracy.

MotorYoke 2 with INNO FOUR MotorZoomThis HMI 575W profile spotlight allows control of the zoom lens and the included GAM SX4 effects module, in addition to controlling the horizontal and vertical movement.

There are 40 effects films – including fire, water, rain, snow, where the speed and direction of rotation is adjustable by the lighting control desk.

This unit was developed and delivered in 2007 for the Suzhou Cultural Centre in China.

The ETC PAR EA has joined the giants of spotlights with Lighting Innovation developed HMI/MSR 575W lamp housing.

There are four exchangeable lenses for different beam angles, while the highly efficient cold mirror directs “cool” light onto the actors.

Thanks to the compact mechanics, the INNO FOUR PAR MCM can be built into scenery without any problems.
