Honor Someone Special

“Grand Openings,” created by Artist Greg-ory Grove, is a major piece of art in our li-brary. This sculptural collection of 30 books, TQ\ÅJMZWX\QKITTaIVLP]VONZWU\PM[MKWVLÆWWZKMQTQVOKZMI\Q^MTaLMXQK\[\PM[]JRMK\[WN each book rising from the pages. The Friends of the Library sell the book sculptures ($1,500 each) as a fundraiser for the library. While the sculptures stay in the library, the name of the purchaser or the person they wish to honor is listed on a plaque on the donor wall outside the Meeting Room. The available sculptures are also listed on the do-nor wall. For information on purchasing a sculpture to honor someone special, contact Mary Marshall, Friends of the Library liai-son, at (630) 458–3332.
