The Band
Tritha Electric began in 2011. Started by drummer/producer Paul Schneiter and North Indian
classical vocalist Tritha Sinha, the band played its maiden concert in New Delhi in January 2012.
The band attained musical maturity when Mathias Durand, a guitar and piano virtuoso equally at
ease with Western and Indian classical music, joined the band in 2013.
The band has been striving ever since to push musical boundaries, playing an ambitious mix of
1970s psychedelic rock blended with traditional Indian classical and folk influences.
Tritha Electric was invited to perform a showcase at the prestigious WOMEX in Budapest last year
(2015).
Following the release of the band’s first studio opus PaGLi in 2014, Tritha Electric embarked
on an 18-month tour which saw the band perform over 100 shows across three continents.
The band’s last single, Rangamati, released in August 2016 as a music video gathered more
than 50,000 single views in the first week following it’s release.
The band’s second studio album, composed of original songs mostly in hindi, will be released
in India in November 2016, and in Europe in January 2017.

Live
Tritha Electric tours as a trio, often joined by guest musicians depending on the occasion.
Over the past three years the band has performed with Sivamani, Rais Khan, Kutle Khan,
Karthik Das Baul, Pabon Das Baul, Stefan Kaye and Tony Guinard (The SkaVengers) to
mention only the Indian musicians having collaborated with the band.
Paul Schneiter
Tritha Electric also performs acoustic concerts. Paul shifts from the drums to a rich variety
of percussions while Mathias plays acoustic guitar, piano or sitar. This lesser-known, softer
side to the sound of the band is well illustrated by the successful live albums Live at Zorba
(2012), Live at Zorba 2 (2013) and Live in Bergamo (2014).
Exhaustive discography of the band, as well as links to video and press articles are to be
found on the next pages.
