She has been working within the BC provincial government since 2007 and has a solid understanding of government structure, legislation, regulation and policies related to mineral exploration and mining. Since 2010, Tania has been employed as an Environmental Geoscientist with the BC Ministry of Energy and Mines. From exploration through development and into closure, he has experience planning, monitoring, and analyzing domestic and international mining projects throughout their life cycle. From 2003 to 2010, Andrew was employed as a consultant providing environmental geochemistry/geoscience services to private and public sector mining clients in North America, Asia, Africa and South America. The services he provided included ML/ARD assessment, waste management planning, closure planning, and EA review services. From 2010 to 2012 Andrew worked as a Project Manager with the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency where he was responsible for conducting environmental assessments of large industrial projects on behalf of the federal government, many of which were mines. Finally, from 2012 to present, Andrew has been employed as an Environmental Geoscientist with the BC Ministry of Energy and Mines where he is a provincial specialist in ML/ARD issues and is responsible for conducting EA and Mines Act permitting reviews of mining projects throughout the province with a focus on ML/ARD, water quality, mine waste management and mitigation strategies. From 2003 to 2010, Andrew was employed as a consultant providing environmental geochemistry/geoscience services to private and public sector mining clients in North America, Asia, Africa and South America. The services he provided included ML/ARD assessment, waste management planning, closure planning, and EA review services. From 2010 to 2012 Andrew worked as a Project Manager with the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency where he was responsible for conducting environmental assessments of large industrial projects on behalf of the federal government, many of which were mines. Finally, from 2012 to present, Andrew has been employed as an Environmental Geoscientist with the BC Ministry of Energy and Mines where he is a provincial specialist in ML/ARD issues and is responsible for conducting EA and Mines Act permitting reviews of mining projects throughout the province with a focus on ML/ARD, water quality, mine waste management and mitigation strategies. Provides technical input on Environmental Assessment Act projects by:

Reviewing submissions and providing comments and recommendations under the

federal and/or provincial environmental assessment process.

Designing, planning and implementing environmtal impact assessment projects to

determine the environmental impact of existing or proposed anthropogenic activities by:

Initiating, installing, maintaining, and interpreting data of several regional automated water quality sampling stations to identify watershed impacts as well as monitor ambient conditions.

Project design, data collection and interpretion of water quality data for various programs in the region including FLNRO Ecosystems, BC Timber Sales, and MOE Compliance and Enforcement.

Working with federal agencies to manage water quality stations and data within the Cariboo Region.

Working with FLNRO Fisheries to monitor impacts to white sturgeon in the Middle Fraser River including developing a non-lethal methodology for sampling tissue for metals analysis.

Providing biological/environmental impact assessment support to legislated decision

makers by:

Reviewing and providing comments and recommendations on industrial

developments such as pulp mill effluent, mining discharges, and forestry activities in

relation to environmental impacts focussing mostly on water quality effects.
