Welcome to Aberdeen International Youth Festival (AIYF) 2017! We are delighted to present yet another action packed programme featuring performers from across the world, across the UK and across the North-East of Scotland. With a wide range of groups presenting an exciting mix of music, theatre and dance incorporating many styles and genres, AIYF 2017 promises to provide a wonderful choice of events and shows for audiences to see, hear and experience. With daytime and evening performances across Aberdeen and the North-East, and some new events and initiatives, we truly believe AIYF has something for everyone.
Two of the new projects we have programmed this year are; supporting the Aberdeen Multicultural Centre to produce the Aberdeen Mela – One World Day at AIYF and a 3D design, installation & participatory workshop project #SeetheWorldinAbdn. Both initiatives are designed to enable more people from the North-East to get involved in the festival and celebrate the breadth of cultural traditions and artistic talent in the region.
As ever the festival and all its elements would not be possible without the continued support of our many sponsors, funders, friends, staff, volunteers and partner organisations, and for this we thank them all.We have a wonderful programme of celebration, cultural diversity and entertainment to offer soplease enjoy as much as you can.
