SettingSt. Louis Missouri on the border of Illinois. In 1933 duringthe Great Depression. A not so sleepy town.

*ProblemVandalia Eubanks and Junior want to get married but Miz Eubanks and Mr. and Mrs. Stubbs don’t want them to. Mary Alice hides Vandalia in her room and names her Skipper the puppy.

*Solution

Joey dressed up as the Phantom Brakeman a mile out of the Wabash Railroad to stop the train to delay it and when the train stopped the young couple could get on.

*Characters

The character in the story is Grandma. She is creative and an extraordinary person to read and learn about. She tells lies for the better, and helps a young couple escape from their parents.
