Two thoughts from Jesus’ words:
1.People often asked for a sign in order to believe ( John 2:18, 6:30, and 20:29)
2.“You” is plural in the Greek so Jesus is speaking for the benefit of the whole crowd who had gathered.

Therefore, there is no real transformation and no real results.

“So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are
away from the Lord, for we walk by faith, not by sight. ”

A Few Notes On How Scripture Was Finalized• The old testament as we know it was mostly in use
at the time of Jesus. He quoted from the law and the prophets. as did other New Testament writers.
• The first identical list of New Testament books to what we have now was given by a man named Athanasius of Alexandria in AD 367.
• The council of Carthage in Africa in AD 397 is the most common date given for when the entire, final listing of inspired New Testament books was decided.
