She spent the last 20 years spent in the Intelligence Community at the CIA’s Office of General Counsel as an attorney, manager, and legal advisor to leaders and decisionmakers throughout the Agency. Having spent over 10 years living in Africa and Asia, she has a deep appreciation for cultural diversity and values different perspectives. Her diverse career, after 28 years in a variety of roles, fueled her desire to assist leaders with transitions and leadership development, which led her to becoming a Leadership and Executive coach. Kim has focused on mentoring and coaching employees for years and has extensive experience in managing risk, and advising senior leaders on employment and workforce issues. Her outstanding mentoring skills were recognized in 2019 when she was the recipient of the DCIA’s Award for Excellence in Mentoring at the Senior Intelligence Service level. She is a well-seasoned manager of legal professionals, and has led major initiatives in team development and resolution of systemic challenges. When presented with problems that had persisted for years, she led the focused efforts that resulted in solutions and forward movement. She now thrives on coaching leaders in new roles or those who are managing people and relationships for the first time. Kim received her CEC coaching credential from the Center for Executive Coaching, and is a member of the International Coaching Federation. Her academic degrees include an LLM in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center, a JD from the University of Georgia School of Law, and a BA from the University of Georgia. She has attended executive training programs at Harvard’s Kennedy School and Northwestern’s Kellogg School.
