The location is breathtaking and fronts a tranquil enclosed Bay featuring theabsolute best snorkeling in all of Los Cabos. I was also fortunate to experience true luxury on a quick visit to the adjacent andultra exclusive  Maravilla Los Cabos, a private residential community which spans260 oceanfront acres on the Sea of Cortez. Located between the popular Cabo SanLucas and San Jose del Cabo, the property has rare swimmable beaches withextensive marine life and is located on the historic site of the former Hotel TwinDolphin. I watched at least 20 whales breaching and hundreds of manta raysflying during my visit to the area.

One of my favorite spots at Maravilla is the Santa Maria Beach Club as well as the60,000 square foot clubhouse for members only. The Club offers up tworestaurants (Mercado and Santa Maria Beach Club) headed by acclaimed ChefSebastien Agnes. He has worked under top chefs like Alain Ducasse at BenoitRestaurant, Eric Frechon at Hotel Le Bristol in Paris as well as Guy Savoy andmore recently the St. Regis Bora Bora with Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten.Who knew that pizza and sushi would be so amazing in Mexico? The Club alsofeatures a large three-level infinity pool and an amazing men and women's spathat are in completely separate and private pavilions including steam rooms witha glass wall overlooking the Sea.

But it is the amazing private glamping site that really blew me away. Located aquick drive into the hills on a promontory overlooking the sea is a luxuryglamping area featuring a large dining pavilion and a first class cabin with a hugedeck overlooking the canyon. This really is the ultimate escape for Maravillahomeowners to bring their entire families. The site also features a large windingpaintball course in the rocky riverbed as well as many other activities offered. Ican't wait to return with my family and spend a long weekend at this perfecthideaway retreat in Baja.
