Our Prayer Intention
For March
For all those who have
grown lukewarm and
distant in their faith to
be rekindled as
missionaries of Christ.
Prayer is essential to
becoming a mission-driven
active parish, so please
pray with us!
CONFESSION
A Day of Reconciliation will be held on Monday March 19. Confessions will be heard from 3 PM to 8 PM at both parish campuses.
You will also have an opportunity for reconciliation at 3:15 PM on Saturdays at Ascension & 4:15 PM on Saturdays at St. Augustine.
Let’s get our hearts ready for Holy Week and have fun with fellow parishioners and friends of all ages
Don’t miss our 2nd annual Holy Week Missions Saturday, March 24 10 AM – 2 PM
Experience a taste of the Last Supper Meet the people Jesus met on Good Friday
Experience a taste of the Easter Vigil AND serve your community
You also get lunch! Register online (https://ccasta-org/holy-week-missions)
or on paper if you don’t have Internet no later than March 20!

Easter Memorials
A fitting way to remember your deceased relatives and friends is an Easter Memorial.
Make a donation of $10 towards the purchase of Easter flowers for the church by
placing the names you wish remembered in a memorial envelope and returning it to
the parish office. Envelopes are available in the church vestibule. All Masses on Easter
will be offered for our parishioners and for the names provided on the envelopes.
Ascension Easter Memorial envelopes are included in your monthly envelope packet.
Don’t Forget: Fasting and Abstinence During Lent
Abstinence: Catholics should abstain from meat (and items made with meat)
Ash Wednesday, Good Friday, and all the Fridays of Lent.
Fasting: Persons ages 14—59 should fast on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday.
On fast days, one full meal is permitted with two smaller meals
that together do not equal the full meal.
INCLEMENT WEATHER
Monday—Friday
CCASTA follows Baltimore
County and Howard
County public schools.
When Baltimore or
Howard County schools
open 2 hours late, our
schedule remains the
same. When Baltimore
County or Howard County
schools are closed, we will
not have morning Mass
and all other parish activi-
ties will be canceled. The
parish offices will open at
11:30 AM, weather
permitting.
If either county has early
dismissal or closes due to
weather, all evening
parish activities, Mon-Fri,
are canceled.
WEEKENDS
Check the parish website
or Flocknote.

message alerts,

Blessing of the Easter Food
SATURDAY, MARCH 31 at 12 Noon in Ascension Church
The traditional Easter basket contains specific foods which are eaten on
Easter Sunday. Each food symbolizes some aspect of our Christianity, the
attributes we associate with Christ, and our relationship with God and His
with us. Join with your parish family to have your Easter Food blessed.
Check this bulletin next week for tips on how to fill a basket for blessing.

Tweet of the week from Fr. John:
As Spring begins to
emerge (hopefully!) we
recognize all the new
life around us only
happens after the
death of fall and
winter. For us the new
life of Easter only
happens when we also
experience the death in
us of sin and
selfishness.
Thank You!
Thank you to all who volunteered, contributed and attended the
annual Shrimp/Bull Roast. Your support helps to make this annual
event successful. Hope to see you next year!
If you have any sick among you for whom you would like us to pray, please contact Ascension at 410-242-2292 St. Augustine at 410-796-1520 to request a person to
be put on the prayer list. Names will remain on the prayer list for six weeks or unless otherwise notified by a family member. This week we remember the
