+Key Passage Analysis #2

Review the handout given to you last class. Please do not lose your handouts, I will not give extra. I only photocopy enough for the class. If you are absent the day a handout is given come to me and I will make sure you get it. It is your responsibility to get whatever you missed. Check the website for homework as well.

Remember I asking these to be written in an essay format. This means you need to have an introduction, body (3 paragraphs) and a conclusion.

Your body paragraphs must be about the following: 1. diction (connotation, denotation) 2. sentence level (rhetorical devices/literary devices) 3. Connection to elements of fiction (the main focus of this plot is point of view).

+Senior Memory Book - Preface

“Writing is a form of personal freedom. It frees us from the mass identity we see all around us. In the end, writers will write not to be outlaw heroes of some underculture, but mainly to save themselves, to survive as individuals.”(Don DeLillo)

Please write one page single spaced about what you think your final year will be like. What do you think will happen? What would you like to have happen? What challenges do you think you will face? What expectations do you have for upcoming events?

This is your opportunity to do some creative writing. You will be graded on your ideas and content but you are not restricted to doing an essay for your this part of your assignment.
