PRESENTE SIMPLE
El presente simple se utiliza para: Explicar cosas habituales y describir
rutinas. She plays golf every week
Juega al golf todas las semanas Expresar verdades generales y

ENGLISH PRESENT SIMPLE
USOS
Para expresar acciones que ocurren habitualmente,con una determinada frecuencia (hábitos, rutinas...).Me levanto a las 8 todas las mañanas.I get up at eight o'clock every morning.
Para expresar hechos o verdades generales.La tierra gira alrededor del sol.The Earth goes around the Sun.
Para expresar situaciones permanentes. Él vive en Londres.He lives in London.
Para hablar de acciones futuras ya planificadas.Me voy de Madrid mañana por la mañana.I leave Madrid tomorrow morning.
FORMAS DEL PRESENTE SIMPLE
Oraciones afirmativas Sujeto+infinitivo sin
‘to’ + complementos I like photography Me gusta la fotografía
Particularidad: En la 3ª persona del singular (he/she/it) hay que añadirle una -s al verbo
He likes football Le gusta el fútbol
Negativa-Interrogativa Suj.+don’t/doesn’t
+ inf. del verbo sin ‘to’ + complementos
Kelly doesn’t need any help / Kelly no necesita ayuda
Do/Does + sujeto + infinitivo sin ‘to’ + complementos
Do you usually eat fruit? / ¿Comes fruta habitualmente?

Sujeto + Infinitivo sin “to”

En las terceras personas del singular añade una “s” al verbo
He plays football. Alice comes to school by bus.
My dog sleeps in the garden.
Si el verbo acaba en "s"-"sh"-"ch"-"x" o "z"en las terceras persona del singular añade "es".
Si el verbo acaba en "y" precedida deconsonante cambia la “y” en “i” y añade "es".
My brother watches TV at night. His kite flies very high.

Los adverbios de frecuencia son palabras que se utilizan para decir con qué frecuencia realizamos una acción.
Se colocan delante del.verbo principal. We usually go
to the cinema on Sunday. Normalmente vamos al cine los domingos.

ADVERBS OF FREQUENCY TELL US HOW OFTEN SOMETHING HAPPENS.
These are : Always (100%) Usually (75%) Often ( 50%) Sometimes ( 25 %) Seldom (10%) Never (0%)
The adverbs often, usually, sometimes and occasionally can go at the beginning of a sentence.Sometimes I go swimming.Often we surf the internet.
Sometimes these adverbs are put at the end of the sentence.We read books occasionally.
The adverbs rarely and seldom can go at the end of the sentence.He eats fish very seldom.
Adverbs of Frequency go before the main verb but after auxiliary verbs and the verb To-be .
Examples : 1.- We are never late for University.2.- She always arrives late for work.3.- She is usually early for University.4.- Do you often go swimming?
5.- I don’t usually get up late on Sundays.6.- I sometimes have lunch at the university.7.- They never work on Sundays.
The position of adverbs in sentences We can put adverbs in different positions in
sentences. There are three main positions but also a lot of exceptions.
In English we never put an adverb between the verb and the object.
We often play handball. - CORRECT We play often handball. - WRONG
The three main positions of adverbs in English sentences
1) Adverb at the beginning of a sentence Unfortunately, we could not see Mount
Snowdon. 2) Adverb in the middle of a sentence The children often ride their bikes. 3) Adverb at the end of a sentence Andy reads a comic every afternoon.
