EDITORIAL

TEACHERS ARE THE REAL BUILDER OF THE NATION

Education is the most important component of any

developed society. It is the most important element for the

growth and prosperity of a nation. This makes teaching a

noble profession. The administrators, Doctors, Engineers,

Scientists and all other profession as are the proud

products of a sound teaching order and teachers are the

pivot of this order. They are the highest priests in the

temple of education and knowledge.

A nation’s wealth is the young generation of the country.

In other words students are the future of any country. So

they need to be taken carefully. Teachers take care of the

future leaders of a country by igniting their minds and

awakening their souls. They not only enhance their

knowledge but also build their character and broaden

their outlook. Teachers are to the nation what a gardener

is to his garden.

Teachers are the foundation-stones of any civilization.

Teachers have in them both moral and intellectual value

as the very word teach contains the idea of giving moral

lesson.

Event- One-Day Industrial visit to NIELIT, Patna Centre.

About the Event- Learning

happens not only in the

classroom but it is outside the

class also. The purpose of

industrial visit is to explore

different sectors of IT and a

way to enhance classroom

learning by making real world

connections. Keeping in mind

this, A One-Day Industrial visit

for the final year, 2015(B) CSE

students was organized on

13th February 2019. A total

of 50 students participated in

the event and were

coordinated by Dr.Mamatha T.

(HOD,CSE) accompanied by

Prof. Mazhar Eqbal, Mr. Syed

Abbas( Lab assistant) and Mr.

santosh (Peon). The caravan

of 54 members reached NIELIT

campus by college bus at

around 11 AM. The students

visited multifarious labs and

were given information about

How to explore network

security especially about

“Cyber siksha” a free course

for girls. The students were

thereafter guided to the

facilities available in the

NIELIT campus such as

Multipurpose Hall, a place

where the students fraternity

can express; Central library

which houses a huge

collection of contemporary

books which will aid the

students community in

Expanding the horizon of their

knowledge; Cafeteria, Hostels etc.

ACTIVITY 02 CAMPUS VISIT BY MR. SALMAN F. SHAMSI 14th FEB 2019

Event: - Campus visit by Mr. Salman F. Shamsi

About the Event- A management consultant with an experience

of working in different industries across multiple geographies

and presently working in Germany, Mr. Salman F. Shamsi visited

MACET Neora campus on 14th Feb 2019 around 2:00pm.

Faculties of MACET were waiting to meet our Guest Mr. Salman F.

Shamsi who arrived on MACET. He was welcomed by Director

Prof. (Dr.) Khwaja M Rafi and an interaction session began with

faculty of all branches. The Program was coordinated by

Dr.Mamatha T. Arrangement was made in CSE Dept. Talk

session was about factors for decline in MACET admission,

classroom attendance improvement etc. Later, students also

joined and they were very much impressed by his effective and

motivational thoughts and requested to arrange some other day

interaction with only students. Director thanked him for his

presence, spending time with us and also for sharing his valuable

thoughts.

ACTIVITY 03

INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO SUDHA DAIRY, PHULWARI SHARIF, PATNA 20th FEB 2019

Event: - One-Day Educational tour to NIELIT, Patna Centre.

Event- One-Day Industrial visit to Sudha Dairy, Phulwari Sharif, Patna

About the Event- A One-Day Industrial visit for the 3rd

year, 2016(B) and 4th Year 2015(B) Mechanical

Engineering students was organized on 20th February

2019. A total of 40 students participated in the event and

were coordinated by Dr. Md. Reyaz (Assistant Professor,

ME) accompanied by Mr. Firoz Alam (Lab assistant) and

Mr. Md. Mojahid (Lab assistant). Mr. Syed Shahbaz Anjum

(HOD, ME) provided his assistance to the students for the

successful Industrial visit. The caravan of 43 members

reached the campus of Sudha Dairy, Phulwari Sharif,

Patna by college bus at around 11:30 AM and were

warmly welcomed by the Manager Mr. Mahesh Sharma

and Marketing Officer Mr. Mustafa. After arriving Sudha

Dairy, the students were guided by their staffs while

taking the round of the whole campus. The resource

persons to the students explained boilers and their

function, refrigeration of the dairy product and its

process.

Ice creams were also served to the students as a part of

their hospitality. MACET faculties and students departed

from Sudha Dairy campus at around 2:00 pm to their

respective destinations.

ACTIVITY 04 WORKSHOP CONDUCTED BY CENTRAL LIBRARY, MACET (20th -21st)FEB 2019

Event: 2-Days Workshop conducted by Central library, MACET

About the Event: - A workshop was organized in the central library of

MACET on 20th & 21st Feb 2019 for the students of 2018 batch. The

coordinator of this event was Mrs. Danish Fatma, Librarian, MACET,

Patna. Fourteen students from mechanical branch and eleven

students from EEE branch has participated in this activity. This

workshop was basically designed to develop the learning and

speaking skill of the students and also to develop the interest of the

students towards newspaper reading and become aware about

various articles printed in magazines.

The students were asked to read any article from the newspaper or

magazine of his/her interest and has to speak for at least 5 minutes

about that particular article. The event was very interesting as well

as entertaining too. We were having variant topics for discussion.

Participants talked about politics, social issues, about new

technologies and inventions and some students also picked articles

from sports and entertainment world.

Md Shahid Ansari (220/18) mechanical branch student discussed

about the Shanghai festival. Similarly, a student Md. Saiyad

(246/18) discussed about the recently launched India’s heaviest

satellite GSAT-II which would boost broadband services in the

country. Another student Asif Eqbal (401/18) of EEE branch shared

information about the Vande Bharat Express, which is Indian

railways fastest engine-less train and also supports Make In India

project theme. Md. Tausif (415/18) talked about the situation of

farmers in India. Some students even picked the topic from sports

world and talked about Virat Kohli.

The whole event was a great success as it was very interesting and

informative session for all.

ACTIVITY 05

PAPER PRESENTATION BY THE STUDENTS OF B.TECH, PART-IV, CSE DEPARTMENT, MACET 26th FEB 2019

Event: Paper presentation by the Students of Final Year Computer

Science Engineering

About the Event: - B.Tech Final year students of CSE Department

were given a topic in advance. They prepared power point

presentation and presented individually or in groups, in front of

the faculty, staff and students as audience in Computer Lab. The

objective of this program was to overcome fear of facing the public

and also enhance presentation skills in their respective subject

domain. Topics related to following subjects are done:

i. Cryptography

ii. Distributed System

iii. Software Engineering

iv. Computer Graphics

The entire session was coordinated by Dr.Mamatha T (HOD, CSE)

along with Programmer Mr. Md Sadruddin Ahmad.

Now, they have overcome the fear of who should go first. It is also

seen that some have good personality skill and some have good

commanding skill but students felt good and avoided being never

compared. It ends with refreshment for all by concerned faculty.

ACTIVITY 06

ACHIEVEMENTS

Team MACET Participated in Sports event “PRAKRIDA 19”

conducted by BIT Patna from 15th to 17th February, 2019 at BIT

campus. Team MACET performed well in various sports events

(Football, Volley ball, Badminton, Carrom and chess). Mr.

Aamir Khalil student of Final year C.S.E department played

exceptionally well in Carrom tournament and became the

champion of this event.

Team MACET Participated in Sports event “ATHLON 19”

conducted by Patna Medical College hospital (PMCH) on 22nd

February, 2019 at PMCH campus. Team MACET performed

exceptionally well in Volley ball sports event and became

runner-up.
