SERVICIO A LARGO PLAZO “Voy a pescar”. Copyright © J. S. Paluch Co., Inc.

We welcome Deacon Richard Abbey in his new as-signment here Saint Andrew, as assigned by Bishop John, effective April 1. Last weekend, Divine Mercy Sunday, was his first official weekend, deaconing and preaching a masterful homily. It gives me pleasure to announce to you this weekend that Deacon Richard will be joining us in yet another capacity, in a part-time staff position, as Coordinator of Religious Educa-tion and overseer of facility maintenance. This was discussed and approved at a combined meeting of the Parish Pastoral Council and Parish Finance Council on March 14th. Mary Jane Trimble has faithfully served the parish as Director of Religious Education for many years. We are grateful to her and certainly respect her decision to relinquish this role while continuing as parish busi-ness manager, handling all the duties that this de-manding job entails. She will also supervise Deacon Richard, for the time being, as Emerita Director of Religious Education. Dcn. Richard begins in these new religious education and maintenance roles begins this weekend. I know you join me and congratulating and praying for both of these faithful parish servants as they transition to their new status.
