PARENT LETTER
Dear Boys & Girls Club Families:
We would like to thank you for selecting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Oceanside (BGCO) for your
child’s summer camp experience. Camp will be held from June 12th through August 9th at the
Townsite Boys & Girls Club, located at 401 Country Club Lane, Oceanside, CA 92054. Hours of
camp will be 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Extended camp is available from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
In order to ensure that your child has a fun and safe camp experience, we ask that you carefully
review the information below.
The weekly rate for camp is $75 (9am-4:00pm) and $90 (7:00am-6:00pm) for extended camp.
Payment is due prior to the first day of attendance.
There is a $10 convenience fee for paying the day of.
The daily rate is $25 and is due at the time of service.
There is a $55 annual membership fee for all new members.
Please park your vehicle and walk your son/daughter into the building.
You need to sign your child In and Out of camp each day.
Lunch and a snack will be provided each day. If your son/daughter has an allergy, please notify
the front desk and complete the proper paperwork.
Please provide your child with a water bottle daily, labeled with their name.
Please dress your child in play clothes, as they may get dirty during Club activities.
For safety purposes, your child must be in comfortable, close toed shoes.
We will be spending a lot of time doing outside activities. Please apply sunscreen to your child
in the morning and send them with extra, so that they can reapply it throughout the day. We
recommend spray sunscreen as it is easier for children to reapply.
Toys, electronic devices or valuable personal belongings are not permitted. Please leave at
home. BGCO is not responsible for lost or damaged items.
We will have field trips throughout the week. A signed permission slip and payment is
necessary in order for your child to participate. Some field trips may have age requirements.
Members are allowed to bring cash for spending money and will need to be responsible for
their own money.
BGCO Club shirts must be worn on ALL field trips.
If your contact information changes, please make sure that you update it with the Office
Manager. It is critical that we have current phone contact information in case of an emergency.
Should your child have difficulty in following the rules of the program and / or not comply with
the requirements, s/he may be expelled from the program.
Please be sure to pick up your child by 6:00 p.m. Parents that are more than five minutes late
will be charged a $2.00 per minute fee for every minute thereafter.
We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to spending summer break with your child.

Field Trip Information
Permission Slip required with payment by due date. Deadlines will be strongly adhered to.
T-Shirt is required for all field trips and may be purchased at the front desk for $10.
Field trips will indicate grades that will be attending and special instructions. Space is limited.
For the health and safety of all members, field trip participants must be able to adhere to all policies
and procedures without additional support. Field trip participation is at the discretion of BGCO.
Pool Restrictions: Youth must be able to swim.
Space is always limited on field trips. Sign up early!

Join us as we blast off into space and explore our solar system. Campers will learn about the different planets in our galaxy as well as their characteristics.

Learn to make fast on-the-go healthy meals on the grill and boost your cooking skills.
MINECRAFT
Think you know everything about Mindcraft? Challenge your knowledge with this fan favorite club where members design their own worlds.
MEDIEVAL TIMES
Travel back in time as we visit various medieval kingdoms. Campers will learn about the kings & queens that ruled as well as the knights that protected them.
