2. User updates or validates warranty claim data via the PMT function.
3. Claim data is converted via the TRD function and transmitted to VW / Audi.
4. Repair Order data record is created for use in reconciliation of the Warranty Credit Note payment data.

The AGUS function is used to set up your accounting system for warranty credit (payment) data received from VW / Audi.
Changes to the AGUS function:
The new 3-character Warranty Type Codes will now be used.
You can now have separate setups for VW and Audi General Ledger accounts.
WARRANTY CREDIT NOTE CHANGES
© 2007 ADP, Inc. 12
Previously, warranty claims sent to VW were assigned a new, sequential alphabetic line code (A, B, C, x …) as they were received.
The Claim Acknowledgement contained the original line code and the new, VW-assigned line code.
With SAGA, the line code is not changed so the Warranty Claim Acknowledgement is no longer provided by VW / Audi.
NO WARRANTY CLAIM ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

The Automated Labor Time Guide (ALTG) has been updated with an expanded set of labor operation codes for use with the SAGA system.
UPDATED ALTG

SAGA processes claims from the DMS on a four-hour cycle. This short cycle results in faster claims processing and the
ability to follow a claim through to “approved for reimbursement” in a single day.

ADP will electronically distribute a patch to each dealer’s DMS seven days prior to the SAGA “go live” date. It will trigger automatically at 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday of the week before the “go live” date.
All ROs closed from Wednesday through Sunday will have an invalid status. Hence, each claim closed from Wednesday through Sunday must be reviewed after the Warranty DTR software has been loaded.
The SMT, PMT, and RRC functions will be unavailable until after the new Warranty DTR software has been loaded. The TRD function will be unavailable until the Monday morning after the new software load.

For all existing claims in work files, Warranty Type Codes are converted from WIN 2-char. to corresponding SAGA 3-char. code format when an automatic conversion is possible.
In some cases, an automatic conversion will not be possible.
So, after the new Warranty DTR software has been loaded, you must use the PMT function to review: Warranty Type Codes for all claims that still exist

Warranty Credit Note setups will be updated for both VW and Audi Warranty Type Codes.
If both VW and Audi are in same DCS account, the VW AGUS GL account setups will be copied to create a separate set of new VW and Audi setups.
