Programme Notes Today th e curlaill descends on the Cheshire competitive senson \Vith the Colts' Shield Final at Birkenhead between Macclcsrield and Birkenhead Park and the County Plate Final between Chester and Crewe & Nantwich here at Pownall Park. The Plate Competition has been weil supported by the Clubs in the Cou nt y and the rinal will be as keenly co ntested as that other final at Twickenham yesterday. Wc congratulate the Cup & Plate Committee for the efficient and smooth running of both competitions and in particular Martin Curphey for his dedication. The Referees and Officiais of the Liverpoo l and Manchester Societies have been most tolerant towards us in spite of the addition al load placed upon th cm by Sunday football, we thank them for their support and today wc we!come Brian Bell and his colleagues from the Liverpool Society.
