Cutting Quotes BookThe feminine typography made from pastry cutters is the cornerstone of my final year work at Camberwell, making my own hand-made book. I used my design skills to lay out twenty-one quotations about women. The rolling pin, gingham ribbon and lazer cut front cover all echo this ‘house-wifely’ theme. On first sight the audience assumes the book is a traditional ‘home–spun’ product, whereas in fact its purpose is to expose this domestic role as oppressive towards women.
