DESCRIPTION
The Olinda Tea House is a modern pavilion style building located in the tranquil Dandenong Ranges. The building utilizes a ‘floating’ butterfly roof form atop expansive glazed walls and surrounded by generous timber-planked decks to enhance the indoor-outdoor transition. The cafe has become an icon in the Olinda region, winning a Timber Design Award in 2011 and published in the International Timber Design magazine in 2012.
