Impact

Jerry Uelsmann definitely impacted the way photography was looked at as an art form. He made photography into more of a skill rather than point and shoot. Uelsmann took the normal idea of photography and distorted it into something almost brand new.

Why I Chose Him

Right as soon as I saw his work I instantly loved it. I love how strange it is and how imaginative it is as well. Also, it reminded me a lot of the things I draw and I liked the idea that I could take my ideas that I normally draw and put them into my photography. Lastly, I love learning new techniques and I saw this as the perfect opportunity to learn advanced methods of using Photoshop to make my pieces way more artistic.
